We stayed only 1 night but loved it. Relaxed on the deck with a Castle and a cheese/snack tray (super good!) in the afternoon sun. Room was HUGE and had a country cottage feel to it. Dinner was great with lanterns on every table and friendly staff. Close to Nelspruit airport and good starting point for driving the Panoramic Route.... More

We had a two night stay at the end of a two week SA trip - and really enjoyed staying at Rissington. Its a well run, relaxing and friendly hotel/lodge/inn.. the owner and staff were welcoming and incredibly generous with their help and advice. They really went the extra mile.

After our visit to the Rissington Inn 9 years ago we decided to go again for our Honeymoon. The reception is great with a cold fruit beverage. We got a free room upgrade and enjoyed the new bar facilities very much. The staff was very helpful, the even helped us search for a local physiotherapist for my back problem.

Just had another fabulous few nights at our favourite Rissington or "Chrissington" as our sons call it in honour of the owner, Chris. Once you have experienced the warm hospitality of this stunning inn, you will, like us, never even consider staying anywhere else in the area. Being a family of four adults, we had one of the Hillside Suites... More

I think the title of my review says it all about Rissington Inn. It is an unpretentious, charming country inn. Service is not of the sterile branded hotel type, but is more casual, but still very good. We stayed in the Saligna Room, and it is a nice, large room, with all the amenities one could ask for, including very... More

We stayed two nights at the Rissington Inn in August 2012 to kick off our honeymoon. After a long day of travel, it was nice to have somewhere beautiful to relax in. The property is very well kept and the rooms are very nice and quiet at night. The food was good and the staff were all lovely. Not much... More

After a couple of slightly confusing reviews, I think it is time for a clarifying word from Rissington's ever-patient proprietor. I don’t know why reviewers often seem so surprised that we are so good. Were you actually expecting (or even hoping, so that you could write about it?!) to have a bad time or poor, unfriendly service? Both this review... More

We spent 2 nights at the Rissington, using it as a base for day excursions into Mozambique (Maputo) and Swaziland. These were long, long days, and we were very tired on both evenings - so tired that, on our return from Mozambique (after 8.00pm), we only ordered sandwiches in our room - which the staff accommodated without any fuss. In... More

This was our second visit. First stayed October 2013 and had so looked forward to coming back and we were not disappointed at all. Same relaxed feel, great food and wine and lovely gardens. 2 nights at the beginning of our holiday. The picnic we had for our day exploring pilgrims rest and the panorama route was excellent. A night... More

A great hotel in a great location. We spent two night in the garden rooms and were well taken care off by the staff. Particularly liked the outside shower. The restaurant was good and the bar a friendly place for a pre dinner drink. Relaxed but professional. Very clean and comfortable rooms in a very nice garden setting. highly recommended... More

Chris, the owner has created a gem here: No detail is left out. Almost a reincarnation of olden colonial times, but with all the luxuries of a top class facility. I have stayed in many lodges/ hotels/ game park facilities, this ranks right up there with the very best. Very attentive yet discreet staff, varied menu, great wines. Our room... More
