This hotel is well situated next to the Kruger Gate of the National Kruger Park and early morning excursions into the park before breakfast were lovely. The reception and public areas are stylish and the staff in general very helpful and friendly. Sadly the service levels and dinner experience detracts from the overall impression: 1. The dining area is open... more

The directions to the hotel on their websiteare unhelpful. Would be better if road number and correct name of road quoted and other landmarks. Arrived at hotel in dark. Receptionist gave us a plan of resort to help guide us to our chalet. Did'nt offer any othe help. Signage impossible to read especially in the dark. Chalet numbers not illuminated... more

We checked in on the 24 December 2008, being a so called AA rated resort and a gold member of RCI, my family and i were greeted by tight security and watch dogs when we entered. On the Morning of the 28 our Chalet was broken into, we were robbed of all our money, cameras, cellphones and bags, while asleep.... more

We stayed orginally in August 2001 and returned this year in June and the only thing to have changed is the size, it now has more lodges. We (my wife and I) booked a one bed lodge but was given the keys to a 4 bed lodge!! We phoned reception to make sure we were in the correct lodge and... more

We stayed here as part of an RCI exchange for a week near the end of winter. The weather was perfect at this time, comfortable during the day occasionally cool/cold in the evenings. Kruger park itself was a fantastic opportunity for wildlife watching, and it did not disappoint. Kruger Park Lodge was a very handy base to explore Kruger Park... more

We just spent the past weekend with a group of family and friends at Cambalala and had an absolutely awesome time. The accommodation was clean and cozy and had everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. I have already recommended Cambalala to many people and am eagerly awaiting my next stay there. Thank you for providing a home... more

We were extremely pleased with the Kruger Park Lodge. The photos on Expedia way understated how nice it really is. We received a full 3 bdrm chalet, with kitchenette, deck, etc. for under $200/nt. They have a nice pool and restaurant as well. Location wise, it's about 25-30 minutes from the Kruger Park entrance, so you would have some commuting... more

I contacted the property a few months ago, requested their prices, and they quoted me accordingly. Their quote was valid for a few days and when i got back to them 3 weeks later, their prices had increased by over 35%!! They stated that 'the resort reserves the right to increase prices as they felt the need' Having said that... more

I stayed here with a tour group. The grounds are beautiful, the chalets are spacious and beautiful as well. However, the 2 women who work the front desk are as clueless as the hippos in the Hippo Hide. They were obviously hired for their looks because they didn't know one thing about running a front desk. So many times questions... more

This was our 2nd trip to Kruger Park Lodge in 3 years. This resort is all about location location location. Just 12km from Phabeni Gate (entrance to the Kruger National Park.) Also near to the Blyde river canyon and many other great sights. Our family (8 in total) rented a well equiped privately owned self catering guest house within the... more
