We checked in on the 24 December 2008, being a so called AA rated resort and a gold member of RCI, my family and i were greeted by tight security and watch dogs when we entered. We were extremely pleased with the Kruger Park Lodge. The photos on Expedia way understated how nice it really is. We received a full 3 bdrm chalet, with kitchenette, deck, etc. for under $200/nt. I contacted the property a few months ago, requested their prices, and they quoted me accordingly. Their quote was valid for a few days and when i got back to them 3 weeks later, their prices had increased by over 35%!! I stayed here with a tour group. The grounds are beautiful, the chalets are spacious and beautiful as well. However, the 2 women who work the front desk are as clueless as the hippos in the Hippo Hide. They were obviously hired for their looks because they didn't know one thing about running a front desk.
