My family and I stayed for one (1) night at the Casa do Sol on our way to Kruger National Park. It is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The dinner and breakfast are included in the daily rate, and both meals were terrific. I only wish that we were able to stay... more

The Worst Hotel Ever! While the buildings and surroundings are idyllic, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The food is appalling, service shocking and the staff unattentive. My husbands watch was stolen by the porter on the night before our departure (he carried our bags to the car and removed the watch) and they did absolutely nothing to... more

Very sad to see this review and even sadder to see that on line. We clearly recall this client and the set of events related to his stay. In a nut shell the watch in question was found and personally hand delivered to the client (450km away). Their detailed review is extremely disappointing and in some instances difficult to acknowledge....

Room was great, very clean, own private garden... wasn't too cheap but worth money spent. Pool and gardens were really lovely. Couldn't compliment the Black staff more. Always had a smile on their face and worked long hrs... even at 4am (when we had to get up for a safari) they had picnic hamper ready for us and still smiling.... more

We stayed in Casa Do Sol in August 2005 and used it as a base to explore the Lowveld. For your info, we toured the whole country and stayed in upmarket (usually 5*) hotels / lodges etc. Although the standard rooms in Casa Do Sol are not the most modern, they are comfortable and will not displease you.
