My husband and I plus our son and daughter-in-law stayed at Ashbourne for 6 nights. Rob and Dawn are the perfect hosts. The rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in room 3 which was very spacious with king size bed and its own sitting room. Our son and his wife stayed in the honeymoon cottage which is self catering with... More

If you haven't got the proper coordinates it is difficult to find. A few more signposts would help! And when you arrive at Ashbournes you may not be quite sure any way. The scenery is gorgeous (when there is no mist - guess why the village nearby is called Hazyview) - miles and miles in almost any direction. There are... More

Rob and Dawne were travelling when we stayed at Ashbourne Country Escape, and we were ably looked after by our sweet hosts John and his wife Heather. My partner and I stayed four nights in total and my partners mother accompanied us for two of those in her own suite. All of us were delighted with the accommodation and experience.... More

I stayed here for 4 nights with my two teenage boys in a 2 bed family house. The houses were beautifully presented with stunning views. They were very cool which, in the summer must be great.we were self catering and the house had everything you could possibly need. The hosts were Rob and Dawne and they were very hospitable. There... Dear Sandra, Thanks for the excellent rating. It was great meeting you and your two fine boys . The dogs... Hmmm,.. We are walking a bit of a tight rope at the moment. . We would like to have three or, at a push, four. But , when the only alternative is euthanasia, I'm afraid we have always softened... To... More

Had 4 wonderful nights At Ashbourne. Rob and Dawn were extremely welcoming and informative of the various activities in the area. Rob's recommendation for the Kruger National Park was spot on. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. Good breakfasts on the balcony and on our first morning as it was a little chilly, in the dining... More

Wish we could have stayed longer - we were only with Rob and Dawne (and the dogs) for a couple of nights, in the gorgeous 'Stone Cottage'. Perfect. Sunsets from the verandah just perfect and the quality of the interiors very high - beds were amazing. Very highly recommended.

Ashbourne was all we'd read about on Tripadvisor and more! About 4km out of Hazyview up a dirt road, easily enough to find with instructions provided by Rob and Dawne. Rob and Dawne were the best hosts and our room more like a cottage (we had been given a choice of 3 rooms - all lovely) Rob offered us welcome... More

We had our own pool and a complete kitchen- the only thing we missed was having soup bowls or plates, since we went on winter. You get lots of privacy, plus a beautiful decor, very very comfortable, big bed and nice lining. The place is lovely, with great view. The owners are also very pleasant people, have lots of big...
