Charming in every way. Penny was so very friendly & professional & provided a delightful braai pack & scrumptious healthy breakfast. The clean, well equipped log cabin with private Jacuzzi, set amongst the trees is so romantic, private and relaxing. Sorry we only booked one night! Next time will be longer :) A sheer delight to have found this little... More

From the start, Penny at Thulamela has been incredibly kind and accommodating , despite our numerous reschedules and back and forth communications and she ensured that we had a special and fantastic 3 days there. Our chalet was spotless and well stocked with beautiful little touches for that extra charm, not to mention the jacuzzi we practically lived in on... More

We do this weekend breakaways often, and this time it was perfect. Penny, the hostess who met us the first day, do so many small things to make this special. The room is beautiful and in a beautiful typical Hazyview setting and very private. It is also a perfect base for exploring Graskop, Sabie or the Kruger park. Visited two... More

My wife and I spent 7 wonderful days at Thulamela. The setting is peaceful and tranquil even though not dead quiet. The chalet was well kept and thankfully airconditioned. The availability of a 4 seater spa bath on the patio is also a welcomed amenity, especially after a long day of site seeing (at the Kruger Park in particular). The... More

Had a great time at Thulamela. Must admit the breakfasts were different is a very good way. Personal home touch there. Place was peaceful and quiet and you were'nt disturbed by the other guests, Had a little bit of road noise but you can live with that. Jacuzzi was heaven. Ate at Pioneers in town, lovely food and atmosphere. 'Best... More

We spent 4 nights at Thulamela in cottage nr 1 and loved it. The hut is set in a garden of thick bushland, you really feel away from everything and very private, just what we wanted. The cottage is spacious, clean and lovely, bed super comfortable and the little kitchenette has everything needed. We also loved the veranda, where you... More

Stayed at Thulamela during September 2013 and the service I received from Penny from the very onset of my arrangements was excellent. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and the jacuzzi was heaven on earth but I must admit, I was a bit disappointed with the location. It is situated close to the main road and the traffic is audible even... More

What a perfect engagement, from the moment we arrived. We had rose petals everywhere, my favorite flowers were arranged for in the room on arrival, a fruit platter, truffles, different color sparkling wines, etc. no request were to big for them, as Penny went out of her way for us. Breakfast were delicious to say the least, with each morning... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Thulamela. The cottage you stay in is a perfect hideaway from city life. Breakfast is served on your private patio in the mornings and is very very tasty. The room is well equipped for self catering use with a braai area at the cottage. The owner, Penny, is very lovely and... More
