I had bought this from Groupon for my mother and sister, but ended up joining them for a short holiday. We absolutely enjoyed the stay from the reception to the rest of our stay. I have recommended to friends and family already

We really enjoyed staying here. The trees and river just relaxed us and long hours spent at the swimming pool. The cottage was clean and had all the needed amenities for a self catering cottage. The only down side was that there was no wifi and very poor cellular signal.

Thank you for your review. We're very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We are in the process of sourcing the best value wifi solution for our guests. While our Vodacom and Cell-C reception is not too bad, we do have some issues with MTN, but have been promised better service in the near future. More

This little resort has huge well kept gardens along the river, all chalets facing the river. Perfect to relax. Kitchens are well equiped, and each chalet has an excellent braai outside. Perfect place to relax close to Hazyview (or even Kruger) and Sabie if you wish to drive around, but in my opinion this is perfect just to sit back... More

The Kitchen and Bathroom areas where very dirty. Shower, basin and toilet seemed to have not been cleaned for a very long time. The cottage was generally poorly maintained. Only positive is the friendly staff and a very beautiful setting of the lodge. My advice: STAY AWAY!

Despite numerous attempts to contact the reviewer as well as Tripadvisor to verify that the review was submitted by a bona fide guest, we have not received any reply from either the reviewer or Tripadvisor. We are therefor unable to verify that the reviewer actually stayed at Kwambali Riverside Lodge. We would encourage guests to be wary of unverified reviews.... More

What a wonderful time we had at the most peaceful and quiet place next to the river. The reception was good and the cottage was clean and felt like home. I'd have given it a 5 rating but for the towels and sheets that are brown. All in all we are happy. Will come back again.

Thank you for your review and we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We are looking at replacing our stone coloured linen and towels with a more neutral colour in the near future and will keep you updated. More

Every year we select a resort for our family reunion and this year we chose Kwambali. We were not disappointed at all … you get your money’s worth – yes it is not a 5-star facility and services are limited, but for a family that will have fun irrespective, this is a pretty great option. The rates are reasonable and... More

Stayed at Kwambali Riverside Lodge over the 2015 Easter 2015 week end. Everything was fine from our check in to our departure. Nice and clean with excellent security. Close to both Numbi and Phabeni gates of the Kruger National Park. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed for two nights, booked through Groupon. I thought I got mydelf a good deal but the first disappointment came in when I noticed the same cottages were sold for a cheaper price through other booking sites. The cottage which I stayed (No 9) was smelly and dirty including the living hall and toilets. The tap water was muddy... More

A charming resort situated on the Sabie River. 12 Picturesque cottages in a beautiful garden of majestic Fever Trees. It's peaceful, with a crystal clear swimming mostly all to yourself all day. We stayed in cottage 12. This is a 6 sleeper with bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a loft with 2 single beds. Cottages are in need of some TLC,... More
