This establishment is very convenient in relation to the Kruger National Park's Phabeni Gate. It's also close (by car) to Hazyview shops & restaurants. Idle & Wild is set in very attractive and well-maintained gardens. Our accommodation was a large comfortable suit, with a kitchenette (microwave & fridge) and a private courtyard with braai. Breakfasts (a combination of buffet and... More

A beautiful and peaceful lodge set among lush gardens. The staff are friendly and professional and offer useful advice about things to do and see in the area. Great breakfast. A beer while lazing by the pool listening to birds. Excellent security makes everything very relaxing. And all on the doorstep of Kruger NP. Loved it.

We stayed at Aan de Vleit on our vacation to Mpumalanga. Decided to do something different and we opted for river rafting and quad biking. 1stly, Midas, Bongani, and the lady whose name slipped my mind, made rafting seem like a peace of cake. The pre - rafting presentation and preparation was a bit scary by Midas, almost changed my... More

We only arrived late (18u) at Idle & Wild after our Panorama route adventure and had to leave early the next morning for Kruger. Once we arrived we immediatefly regretted not being able to stay longer and enjoy this magnificent B&B. Their garden is simply breath taking and your Rondavel is smack in the middle of it. The Rondavel itself... More

We returned again to Idle & Wild, basically because we were quite satisfied during our previous stayus and enjoy staying there. One of the main reasons being the safely, which is v ery well guarded here, contrary to other lodges in this area of RSA, The management is doing well the service is good, cottages, rondavels are great and price/value... Had a great welcoming, staff is very friendly. Talk to Robert, he is the best host, knows his stuff and makes you feel fomfortable. Nice rondavels and beautifull place to stay. Visit the elephant sanctury and do a tree top ride. Take a tour with Robert on the quads.

Stayed in one of their honeymoon rondavels this time. Excellent. Great for using as a base for visiting the KNP. Christie and Darryl as helpful as ever. If your feeling adventurous try the quad biking. Like nothing you will get in the UK. Tinnus and I reckon it was a leopards paw print we found.

We stayed here only one night but wish it could have been one more. The house is surrounded by a very beautiful garden. Some of the bedrooms are in cute bungalows at the back (they all seem to have kitchenettes). Wifi works but not everywhere. When we arrived, we were met by a nice young guy at reception. Not sure... What a great stay we had in this little paradise. We were first greeted by the dogs and the loveliest cat we have ever come across. She ( or he ?? ) followed us into our room.....well we sort of lured her into coming in. We were upgraded to a big room right next to the entrance of the main... More
