We booked this lovely plave through Themba Tours. Highly recommend it as a base for travelling into the national park that is just about twenty minutes away. The room was small but perfectly adequate given that we spent almost no time in it apart from sleeping. The shower was wonderful! Food was fine albeit with only a small choice of... More

We booked a package through Themba Tours and the lodge was booked for us. We could not have chosen better ourselves, it was the perfect place to stay. That was what made Kruger perfect for us. The rooms are basic but very clean and really, who needs 5* on safari? The staff is very attentive and would go out of... More

Couldn't have asked for a more picture-perfect location... This was mine and my significant other's first trip to Africa and our first Safari, Sabie River was a huge factor in making this trip one of the best experiences we've ever had. The lodge was booked as part of our Safari package through Themba Tours. We stayed in one of the... More

It needs a bit of TLC but everything was clean. Very good location with lots of birdlife. The food was excellent complements to the chef and the staff very friendly and helpful. The Golf course is great.

We stayed for one night only in one of the safari tents overlooking the Sabie river, bordering on the Kruger Park. The room is fairly simple but very clean and we had everything we needed. There are ablution blocks a few metres away where you have a dedicated shower for your tent, there is also a dedicate kitchen for each... More

We have just stayed at Sabie River Bush Lodge for 2 weeks and had a great time. The location is fabulous. One morning a herd of 50 elephant paraded past the lodge on the other side of the river whilst we were having breakfast. The rooms are very nicely furnished in typical African Bush style and ours was very spacious... More

I really loved staying at Sabie River! Since we started discussing bookinh options with the staff they were very kind and provided hood information amd alternatives. The place is just 10 minutes aways from Kruger Park, where we did a whole day game drive and on the other day a morning + evening drive. The guide was great and I... More

Sabie River Bush Lodge was the first place we stayed on our 2 week trip around Southern Africa, and it was a great choice. I booked through their online reservation system and everything went smoothly. We stayed in the "main hotel" part rather than one of the "luxury safari tents" and I would actually recommend doing what we did. We... More
