Our second visit and again it was excellent. There are a variety of rooms on offer. We love the river facing tent rooms with private deck overlooking the river and Kruger on the other bank.... a truly magical spot. Other rooms seemed very good and the staff are friendly and helpful throughout. Food is not exceptional but generally good and... More

Clean, cosy, friendly! We had an awsome time there, the Krüger is just a 10 min. drive from the lodge, a supermarket is about 7 km away. Especially the terrasse with its pool was amazing, we saw a big group of elephants just from the pool on the other side of the sabie river!! Other guests told me that hippos... More

Well worth overall. You're definitely in Africa. Would have liked toilet and shower in tent but not a big deal; saw hippos, elephants and river otters in front yard; restaurant OK-could have been more vegetarian friendly but otherwise very friendly; good breakfast; extremely nice accommodating staff. We'll go back

Stayed here with a friend for 1 night on 15 Dec. Despite requesting a vegetarian meal for both of us in the online booking and repeating the request at check-in at around 2 pm, no arrangement was made. The guy at check-in assured us that he would take care of it with the chef but when we went for dinner... More

Hi Thank you for your business we all really appreciate it. I have followed up with the chef on duty and they confirm that there was a misunderstanding with the vegetarian dish but the chef advises that the food presented was not soggy as you describe it. The Lodge prides itself in that the majority of our reviews on tripadvisor... More

Quaint, peaceful boutique type lodge. one couldn't expect more excellent friendly service . whatever we requested the staff to execute, they delivered with a smile. we stayed in a river facing cabin which was comfortable and spotless. the 3 air conditioners were put to very good use! Food is not cordon blue but very adequate. Chef went out of his... More

I only stayed at Sabie River Bush Lodge for one night, and then moved to Protea Gate Kruger Park after that for a conference. The people at Sabie River were very nice and I loved the viewing deck and eating area looking out at the river. This place is smaller and more intimate that Protea gate. The restaurant lets you... Hi Thank you for staying at our lodge, your business is really appreciated. You are correct the price difference between the two "hotels" is vast and we proud ourselves on the friendly service and the home cooked meals that the lodge offers at the very reasonable prices. I will be checking up on the wi-fi as we have recently spent... More

We stayed here for two nights. The location is beautiful, nice veranda at the water where you can relax. The swimming pool is very small but good enough to cool down. Our room was clean and big enough with a safe and everything you expect. The service is excellent! Very friendly and helpfull. They gave us a lot of info... More

We were looking for comfort close to Kruger at a good price. The lodge did not disappoint. I found the rooms clean, nicely decorated, air conditioned and with a great shower. That was comfort. The setting of the lodge is just beautiful looking onto the river where elephants come to drink. Food was pleasant and varied each day. The staff... More

Good location...right on the river, can view Kruger on the other side. A busy township right across the road...but never any issues from that. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They did mix up the reservation a bit, as we had paid in full in advance...but thankfully I had printed off all transactions, and that was resolved. We were in... More
