A big thanks to Gavin and Carol for making us feel comfortable and giving us some great advice on our visit to South Africa. We felt very at ease and really enjoyed the picturesque surroundings of the gardens, the breakfasts, the dinners and sitting relaxing by the fire in the evening. We had arrived without definite plans for our 3... More

A magnificent setting on a citrus farm next to the Sabie River. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a lovely outlook to the garden area from a shared balcony, but they need updating to warrant a 4* rating. Breakfasts were very good.

My guests and I always stop over at this guest house... The rooms and facilities are always great, the service very warm and the food worthy of the term, good 'ol fashioned home cooking! My guests love it, I love it and will be back, next week actually ;-)

Spent three nights in Laughing Waters. Carol & Gavin were perfect hosts. Rooms were very comfortable and cosy. The lounge area was really relaxing and the big open fire was homely. Food was extremely good and we would highly recommend a stay at the Laughing Waters.

Marvelous! Carol and Gavin were friendly and kind. The guest house is in a tranquil setting, with fruit trees, gardens, and, indeed, a babbling brook. Sunrises and sunsets over the mountains are lovely. The food was incredible. I'm vegan, and this was graciously accommodated. For breakfast, we were packed boxes full of sandwiches, snacks, and fruit to take with us.... More

Two Irish couples spent three nights in Laughing Waters. The location is perfect for Kruger. The rooms are cosy and bright and the food is fantastic. Carol and Gavin are welcoming and pleasant hosts. We were happy to have this accommodation chosen for us by Mmilo tours.

Impressed right from the start' with a warm welcome from Carole, who showed us to our beautiful room. Gavin cooked a delightful meal which we had overlooking the peaceful gardens. A pleasant end to our day.

We spent 4 nights at Laughing Waters, and we had a wonderful time. It's a charming guesthouse about 20 minutes drive from one of the gates to the Kruger Park. It's located close to a big lemon farm, so the surroundings are very nice and peaceful. A bit outside city centre, but that was no problem for us. Rooms were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Laughing Waters Guest House in Hazyview is tucked away in the heart of the picturesque Sabie Valley on the banks of the Sabie River. Journey through the lemon trees to arrive in a beautiful sub-tropical garden, surrounded by tall trees and populated with an abundance of birds, Laughing Waters Guest House is a quiet haven, with a familiarity and comfort that makes you feel quite at home.On checking into Laughing Waters Guest House Hazyview, one will be settling into a retreat that boasts high archways, and a Tuscan ambience, a building that evokes an antiquated awe. Through the landscaped courtyard one will find their room with views of the beautiful surroundings. The location of Laughing Waters Guest House, close to the river ensures slightly cooler temperatures within the valley; this comfortable micro climate makes Laughing Waters Guest House especially welcoming for a Lowveld destination in the hot summer months. The riverine forest and indigenous bush surrounding the farm, the proximity to Hazyview and the Kruger National Park and the occasional sighting of hippos makes Laughing Waters Guest House feel slightly "wild", but still very civilised! We have an in-house tour operator to assist with any tours / transfers you need planned. ... more   less
