Situated in a mountainous region adjacent to the Kruger park this reserve proved to be a great experience for us. We were there to celebrate a birthday, enjoy fine wine, good food and game viewing. We were not disappointed. When you are not out game viewing the pools, rooms and the spa offer wonderful way to relax with spectacular views... More

We visited Bongani Mountain Lodge in February 2014. We had a wonderful family weekend and really enjoyed the hospitality and beautiful setting. Bongani is situated in a unique mountainous reserve and offer a very different nature experience to the Kruger Park. Catering was excellent and the game drives truly enjoyable. The swimming pools are wonderful too. Only criticism is that... More

Our team of 12 colleagues enjoyed a one night stay at Bongani last Saturday. Mtunzi and Nkosi made the two game drives exciting and the mountainous terrain adds a new dimension to game viewing. The rooms are a comfortable size and tastefully decorated. All staff were friendly, a lovely laid back vibe, good food, hope to return sometime soon.

We stayed 2 nights at Bongani. We had a great time. Everything has been taken care of so your only duty is to enjoy. Our cottage was beautiful with a great view of the valley. The restaurant serves fantastic food. We tried every dish and found them all delicious. The game drives were a lot of fun. We had such... More

Let me take you through my experience at Bongani. The moment we (I, my wife and my kid) arrived at the welcome center we were received very warmly by Elvis, the guard present at the duty. Just to give you a perspective, the main lodge is 7KM from the Welcome Center and the guests are picked up by the 4x4... More

We had the most amazing 3 days at Bongani. Right from the start the welcome and service was amazing. Two of us had missing luggage from our flight, this was not a problem and once the airline located it, the Bongani team facilitated its arrival in our room. The food and facility is amazing and the safari experience was everything... More

What a beautiful place! With Bongani lodge it is not just a nice place, or great food, or friendly staff, but it's the whole experience that makes this place awesome. We enjoyed our stay at Bongani. The accomodations are lovely. We stayed in a separate house which offered so much privacy- very light inside, plenty of room, very clean. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. Kudus are walking around the area. Francois and his staff were fantastic! I had a very relaxing massage with Jabu. Ranger Michele and tracker Simon... We had an amazing time at the Bongani Mountain Lodge in October 2013. The rainy season was about to start so we could still see all the animals very well. We saw zebras, giraffes, buffalos, white rhinos, elephants, kudus, nyalas, baboons, monkeys, many birds and insects. Unfortunately, we saw no lions, nor leopards. In the nearby kruger, we saw crocodiles... More

We, an Australian family of five (2 boys of 9 and a girl of 11) stayed three nights in Bongani. We do not often write reviews, in fact this is our first, however it was such an all round great experience we thought now was a good time to start! From the very beginning, as we were picked up, through... More
