I had the privilege of staying at Leshiba with a guest of mine a few days ago. It was more of a "filler stop" between the Vic Falls and Kruger Park, but proved one of the best investments I could have hoped for. The challenging, but spectacular, track up the mountain set the scene for one of the most beautiful... More

A place up north, high in the Soutpansberg Mountains…. - a place of energy and healing...way above the clouds - a private reserve where you can walk in the wild and reconnect with nature and self - where there are rolling mists in the mornings and red hot sunsets.. - where way up on the mountain overlooking the valley the... My daughter had a dream to go on a horseback safari so we went up to Leshiba for her birthday to fullfill that dream. It was an amazing experience! The travell up the mountain to get there is a challenge but trust me - it's worth it! We stayed in the Venda village for two nights and ate at the... More

The honeymoon suits are indulgent. Big comfortable beds, white linen and beautifil views with privacy. I felt I could stay there all day and just relax, read books and ponder on life. There is a peacefulness about Leshiba that I love. I can recommend the catered option as the food it excellent and the staff are superb. Lesheba also offers... More

Pete and Kathryn made us feel very welcome and their hospitality was exceptional. The accomodation was superb and the service excellent! We were taken on an interseting and informative hike and saw Rhino, giraffe, and other game.

We stayed for the 5-6th time at the Hamasha self-catering bush camp in Leshiba. It is the cheap and rugged alternative to the Venda Village in the same reserve, but enjoys many advantages: beautiful views from top of the mountain towards Zimbabwe, complete privacy, having that section of the reserve all to yourselves, on-suite gas-heated indoors and outdoors showers, and... This beautiful part of South Africa is a must for any traveller who enjoys nature, wants to relax in an absolute haven of peace, appreciates genuine hospitality and good service and is keen on walking. The Venda culture and art having been lovingly integrated into the whole property, from the moment you enter Leshiba to the time you hop into... More

Last May I stayed in Leshiba and had the most wonderful stay in this very special and unique place. We stayed in the Venda Village, the main accommodation of Leshiba. Joyce the assistant manager and amazing cook, is from the Venda tribe herself and she explained how she lived in this village with her family when she was young girl.... More

I did expect a difficult road to reach the lodge - but that the ascent would match any difficult unpaved mountain road in Switzerland was the first surprise to us. For those with sedan cars, definitely use the transport offered by the lodge. Climbing through the cliffs we were surprised by the plateau, the surrounding rocky hills and mountains, the... More
