More than anything else the wonderful views from most bungalows are the main attraction to staying here. The rooms are pretty well equipped although decor is somewhat dated and'tired' you are unlikely to stay here primarily for the decor! Our bungalow (no 18) had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen/living area open to the outside and with stunning views over the... More

We stayed two nights in cottage/hut #63. It served our purposes well. We were just so happy to be at Kruger for first time that we didn't mind the old-fashioned accommodations (in fact, it kind of added to the atmosphere). But were are generally campers, so anything above a tent is good! We enjoyed the outdoor table and closeness to... More

It seemed from the consternation amongst the check-in staff that although we had a confirmed reservation, they had not allocated accommodation to us. Well, that is being kind, because if the rondavel that we were eventually allocated was actually specifically reserved (and not just perchance) then this review would struggle to achieve any rating at all. We arrived at the... More

We had a wonderful time at Olifants Camp. The Bungalows are well equipped and the view is amazing. The Mugg and Beans Rest. are really gut and very practical, if you don't want to cook. They also have a small store with everything that you need. We had luck and we saw a lot of animal. We would definitely return.

Olifants Rest Camp enjoys a wonderful vantage point overlooking the Olifants river below. The bungalows are located a little too close to each other which detracts from the feeling of being in the bush. Rooms are adequate however cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Staff are friendly and the Mugg and Bean restaurant offers a nice alternative. Monkeys however,... More

The camp has basic accommodation which I think is perfect for South Africa! These sorts of camps in the Kruger are very similar to caravan parks in Australia except all the cabins are disguised as huts with thatched roofs! The view from above the river was the best view out of all the camps I stayed at! I would definitely... More

The fact that there are these basic rest camps that are really affordable is such a credit to Kruger & South africa. We stayed in a bungalow with shared kitchen, no utensils. The room was basic but clean and more than sufficient when you're there to be out finding animals!! The kitchen was basic and you needed utensils (although there... More

One of my favourite camps in Kruger with an excellent view of the olifants river. Loved the shop, had a variety of things especially for kids. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to going back soon.

We stayed in Chalet 14, huge patio with long comfortable sofa. Views are to die for. After two days of sitting in the car, game viewing, it was lovely to sit and to look on to the river, watching the animals coming to drink and more than 30 hippos coming out to graze and the younger ones running around and... Lovely renovated/upgraded accommodation, Mugg and Bean restaurant with a lot of healthy food options, beautiful view over the Olifants River. Quiet surroundings to really enjoy the wildlife. My favourite camp in the Kruger National Park.
