Perfect restcamp in the central part of Kruger Park. The lodges are basic but more than enough because you only sleep there, during the day you will be in the park. Inside the park there is a very good Mugg & Bean restaurant with an absolutely stunning view over the river. Makes your breakfast even better!

The river overlook from the camp is beautiful. Like Letaba this camp's restaurant is provided by Mugg & Bean and overlooks the river. We stayed in number 33 which had three beds. We added a child crib (provided by staff) which made things cramped but it worked. Like Letaba the kitchen and fridge are outside in a covered veranda style.... More

We stayed during July 2014. Was able to get one bungalow with a view and one without, but Sanparks arranged the bungalows practically next to each other. We were therefore able to enjoy all our activities, meals, braais, etc together, and only sleep apart. Beautifully located camp. Basic but adequate accommodation. Well stocked shop, albeit more expensive that what you... More

We visited with SA friends who booked this on our behalf for six days so had no control over location - if I'd booked I would DEFINITELY opt for an outer rondaval and spent the week envying their fabulous position overlooking the river basin. Having said that, the feel of the place is quiet and relaxed and we could hear... More

The last time we stayed in Olifants was in 2008 and we were pleasantly suprised at how well the camp was looking. There was still refurbishment works going on the rondavels but these did not disturb the guests. Reception was very efficient and we were in and out in minutes. We had a rondavel on the perimeter with a spectacular... More

We wrote a lengthier review on TripAdvisor about Kruger National Park under "Definitely South Africa's Best Game Reserve" and briefly mentioned Olifants Rest Camp. However, after leaving Kruger and reminiscing about our overall experience, including a quick scan through our photos, Olifants stood out fondly for us. The view there is really amazing since the camp is situated on top... More

Being blessed by living close to the KNP we have been to the Kruger on numerous occasions. This was however a first stay over at Olifants Camp. We arrived a little early and our room was predictably not ready yet. The cleaning lady with the charming name of 'Witness' approached us with huge smile and warm welcome and requested 10... More

I stayed in #93 with a lovely view of the river. Clean, comfortable, very plain & very basic. AC, 2 twin beds, lots of screened windows, dutch door to outside, kitchen on the outside porch & a braai. We ate dinner at the on-site Mugg & Bean which had very good food served in a beautiful outdoor setting (but s-l-o-w... More

We enjoyed our stay at Olifants immensely. It is well run and offers far more privacy than the other bigger camps. Due to its position, set deep in the middle of the park, it does not have many day visitors. GENERAL: The camp is well run and boasts a beautiful river side location. It is set high on a rocky... Perimeter rondavel with view of the river. Beautiful! Accommodation basic, but clean. Some care has been taken to spruce the camps up in the past 18 months. Mugg & Bean a vast improvement on the old tired restaurants! Booked a year in advance - well worth the wait! Will definitely return
