We stayed two nights in olifants camp and it was the best stay in the kruger. We were booked in a hut that only provided beds, you have to use the communal kitchens. All those huts are being renovated. We were given a nice renovated bungalow. The only camp that had a paper that asked to report any faulty equipment... More

We stayed at three different places in Kruger and this was the best. It's located in the middle of the park allowing you to travel to different directions easily. You can have your dinner with a breathtaking view just over the river accompanied by the sounds of hippos. Clean room & bathroom, affordable price. You can even have a room... More

Olifants Rest Camp, situated high above the Olifants River, has probably the most spectacular view of the Kruger National Park's camps. The chalet was newly renovated and comfortable (major renovations are taking place in various parts of the camp). The restaurant food was basic, but good. Restaurant staff was friendly though a bit too relaxed in executing their jobs.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a mixed experience. The view is obviously outstanding and the whole area is very picturesque. The camp is having some renovations done which is much needed and overdue. The restaurant has a limited menu. The rondevaals are in dire need of a complete overhaul as they are very tired looking, ours didn't even... More

Only stayed on night here in NG2U Bungalo, it was adequate for what we required one night. It was clean.Would have been better if there had been a kettle and cups in the room so you could make coffe / tea. The campsite as a whole was good and you are sure to see hippo's. The camp would benefit from... More

Typical SANPARK rest camp, i.e. rustic and well priced. The camp is located on a mountain and has a great view on the river. The chalets have braai (barbecue) facility, but there are no dishes there (available for 20 Rands at reception), als braai-wood to be purchased in the camp shop. The campshop is very well equipped (major improvements to... More

We stayed there three nights and we had a lot of pleasure driving around, with a lot of game everywhere. Unfortunately, we are not self-catering people and it was the last week of the restaurant, before the take over by Mugg and Bean. Sad dinners, as almost everything in the menu was not available. But the worse was Satara Rest... More

Olifants camp is located high above the Olifants River meandering below. The camp itself is made up mostly of practical and clean self contained bungalows. There's a patio to enjoy breakfast, dinner and a sundowner as you listen to the sounds of the hippos from the river. The bungalows come equipped with a large fridge, private barbecue and air conditioning.... More

We stayed in one of the bungalows with a river view, highly recommended. The built in patio is a nice feature. We had dinner on the patio with the sound of hippos in the background a very unique and memorable experience. The bungalows are a good value. The viewpoint by the restaurant is first rate. The restaurant food is ok,... More

There was almost no need to explore out of the camp, as almost everything was seen from one's verandah, eagles, vultures rode the wind currents at eye level, while the river below was teaming with all sorts of game, from the cliff top vantage one views an elephant trial that has been used for thousands of years, part of the...
