We had a wonderful time at Olifants. We booked a year in advance and got a rondavel on the outside perimeter fence. SO WORTH IT!!! My husband cooked dinner in the outdoor kitchen, pausing frequently to watch elephants, hippos, kudu, etc frolic in the river below. The accommodations are simple and basic and adequate. If you're looking for luxury, this... More

This SANPARK managed camp has probably the nices view, located over the Olifants river. The rondavels are simple but clean, good barbecue/braii facilities. Reception friendly, good offers for morning and afternoon game drives. Good market to stock up missing food (better to bring frsh food with). Recommended.

Well it is difficult to book as it is so very popular but we secured Number 14 for the weekend. When you walk through that door the view simply takes your breath away. I had forgotten though that as you can spend all your time looking out the front please don't forget to look out of the right hand side... More

We went in at the Phebeni Gate and travelled to the Olifants Camp in the Kruger National Park. We saw 2 of the Big Five. Good roads and not too many people about. We did see Lion but not in full view.

Olifants has gone down!! Skukuza and Satara are far better! The service and food are appalling at the moment :( I am surprise at how small not only the camps are but also everything in general seems to have gone down

These huts are not luxury accomodations but for the price, you can't beat the experience. The rondevels are clean and spacious and we really enjoyed having a brai out on grill that they have at each rondevel. The view from the camp was breathtaking and we watched a herd on about 50 elephants walk along the beach below the camp.... More

Accommodations were basic. The rooms were smaller than Satara but had a more functional kitchen in the unit (actually it was on the deck) with a stovetop, tea kettle, dishes and cutlery. Sadly we had lots of ants all over our room. Otherwise, the view was great from the restaurant. The camp also offered neat opportunities (like walking and biking... More

This is a great location but basic beds, shower & roof. Fridge outside and BBQ facility on veranda which looked like half an oil drum. Before you go into the park if you pass a supermarket buy some food to cook yourself. Food in the rest area is very basic so take some in and cook it yourselves. We went... More

It’s quite possibly the best managed of the national park camps we stayed in. Everything was clean and in working order as it should be. Fabulous view and deck. Great check in, comfortable, perfect experience.

Our family spent one night at Olifants - we loved the peaceful location, the views and the game viewing. 1 - The view. The view down the hill to the Olifants river is really spectacular - you can watch the animals coming and going to the river far below to drink. The restaurant in particular has a lovely outdoor terrace... More
