SANParks is doing really great things. We visited Olifants to do the MTB cycling and walking, and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation was really comfortable and the camp was always clean and well maintained. It has an adequately stocked shop where you can get most things you may want (the shop at Satara is really well stocked with so... More

We only come to Olifants for the perimeter bungalows. This spectacular view over the Olifants river is worth to spend in a rather small rondavel (compared to other places in Kruger). Since the restaurants have a new owner, eating there has much better than before.

As most of the San park accommodation, this place is well run. It has a Mugg and Bean restaurant which caters to all needs. The view on the river is very nice but too far down for any game viewing. Having been many times to the park before, we now took for the first time a rondavel which had no... More

Stayed for 2 nights while doing self-drives and guided walk/guided drive in Kruger. Our family of 4 had two adjacent rondavels, #3 and #4, that were extremely conveniently located near the restaurant and shop as well as the meeting point for guided activities. Both rondavels had wonderful views high above the Olifants River that we really enjoyed for the gorgeous... More

Our 3rd camp on our 1st week in the park. Just like the previous one this camp had been rebuilt due to flood damage, they did a great job having a chance to do it over again. Lucky us we had a very large cabin pretty much brand new, nice braii area we used 2 times Olifants is very well... More

As a child, my folks and I would travel to Kruger once a year for a 10 day break. I used to love it then, and after 15 years of not going to the park.... last week was amazing! I was able to relive my childhood memories. I remember the bungalows so well, as well as the walkways and the... More

This was the best of the six camps we stayed in while at the Kruger Park. The room we were allotted had a spectacular view of the Oliphant river and we were sorry we stayed there only long enough to watch just one sunrise from our sit-out. Unlike most rooms in Kruger camps, this one had a remote for controlling... More

Gorgeous setting overlooking the Olifants river. The camp shop is well stocked and not that expensive compared to prices outside the park. There is no swimming pool. The restaurant (Mugg & Bean chain) is probably the worst in the park. Unfortunately it is the only place to eat in this camp, unless you cook your own food. Total incompetence of... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2014 via mobile

Perched high above the Olifants river, the recently upgraded rondavels are comfortable and clean, some with superb views down to the river. Water was hot, kitchen adequately stocked with utensils, etc. It was, however, quite gloomy to see when preparing dinner, clearing up. Obviously light levels need to be kept low, but another light would have made it easier. We... More

An excellent location on top of a hill with expansive views, well if you get one of the two outer periphery rows. Our had a stunning view and as with all other Sanpark accommodations was well looked after equipped with pots, pans, plates and cutlery, clean bedclothes, bathroom and towels and was well furnished. All you would need to self... More
