We really enjoyed Pretoriuskop. The staff wfarieere so helpful & friendly, so willing to engage with visitors. Rondavels were clean & well equipped, enjoyed our braiis, good meat in the shop. Staff in the Wimpey were so helpful & attentive, even offered to stay open till the night drive arrived back. BUT not everyone want fast food. On the negative... More

We caravanned for three nights at the Pretoriuskop Restcamp with our two toddlers. Apart from the swimming pool (which was great), there was not much else for them to do. The camp is very well run - it is clean (including the ablutions and dishwashing areas). Monkeys were abit of a problem and no food could be left unattended. We... More

We stayed "mid-terrace" in an elongated rondavel which was basic but with a fridge, air conditioning and a barbecue which is all that's needed. The toilet and shower block has seen better day with a few tiles missing and no working door locks, but everything was spotlessly clean. The camp as a whole is a very pleasant place to stay... More

Rather than do one long drive from Berg-en-Dal in the south through to Olifants camp in the middlge of the Kruger National Park we decided to stay at Pretoriuskop where we had not stayed before. Reception was good and did allow us to check in slightly earlier than the official time. The shop was fairly well appointed given that it... More

We spent 3 nights camping at Pretoriuskop, The camping area is nice but there are only two ablution blocks one on either side of a long camp site, so if your site is in the middle, you are quite far from the ablutions. The camp has a very nice swimming pool and the restaurant and shop are good. The booking... More

We overnighted in Pretoriuskop and were sorry we could not spend more time there. Our basic accommodation was good with excellent braai facilities. A well stocked shop had everything which you might have forgotten to bring. The drives around the camp were interesting and we saw quite a variety of animals and birds. Excellent birding opportunities in the camp especially... More

I've stayed at this restcamp after 4 years. Compared to others I found it a bit dated. We got two huts attached with a bathroom. It looked not very new or clean. No kitchen. No plates, forks,... Just a BBQ As we already bought out meat and dinner and the shop was closed we ended up in the Wimpy asking... More

The camp was basic and we had a tiny room which was a little way from the nearest toilet and bathroom. Make sure you take your torch out at night as there is little lighting - this does, however, make it a great place to look up at the beautiful South Africa sky and view the stars. We cooked for... We stayed here as part of an organised tour around the Kruger and it was our second base after Berg-en-Dal. We had tried to get in to Skukuza but that was full. The camp itself was very nice, with a very well stocked shop. The restaurant on camp (Wimpy!) was also great, and all the people working at the camp... More
