I stayed at Pretoriuskop for 2 nights in a BD2 bungalow. The rest camp is quite large and the facilities were good (convenience store, Whimpy burger outlet, petrol station) The room in general was very standard, but it was clean, comfortable & safe. I spent the whole day out in the park (6am gates open, 5.30pm gates close) so by... More

We were allocated the 'royal' bungalow on arrival (King & Queen of UK visited this camp in 1947) which had 2 ensuite bedrooms and fully fitted kitchen. We went on an early morning game ride and saw a leopard with her 3 cubs (weren't we lucky). There is fast food restaurant on site together with a shop which caters for... More

This was my second visit to Pretoriuskop; first time during the winter and what a fabulous trip. We stayed in basic accommodation with shared ablution facilities and a shared kitchen. The rondavels we stayed in didn't have fridges so make sure you check before you go. Most rondavels have fridges... The prime sightings included a lion pride in the road... More

I stayed at Pkop for 1 night, stayed in a BD2D bungalow along the fence line. Went on a Sunset drive: saw a rhino taking a mud bath and then, scrapping up against boulders to remove ticks etc., hippos, spotted eagle owl, hyena & 2 cubs, rhino & calf, and an unbelievable battle between another mother rhino w/calf against 2... I have just spent 2 night here a will never return , I was advise I could not do the night drives as there were no guides , then I was told it was that because they didn't do night drives . I challenge this and the receptionist was rude and obnoxious , when I check in I was then... More

We chose Pretoriuskop as we made it just in time to arrive before the park and camp closing time at 5:30pm. Our stay was alright and the animal sightings in the area was very good (besides the usual impala there were wild dogs and a few rhinos). But there are definitly better camps in Kruger. Room was very basic. The... More

The perfect location close to Numbi gate. A late arrival due to flat tire was effortlessly accommodated. Friendly staff, great facilities, perfect location. The swimming pool is the perfect summer escape. Chalets are ideal-Braai under a blanket of stars. Just perfect.

The best camp in the South – It is peaceful and quiet with not a lot of traffic coming through. It gives easy access to a lot of very good routes in the south of the Park as well as two of the main gates. Pay the extra and book a perimeter chalet – these are excellent. As with all... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pretoriuskop Restcamp this weekend. Long-time visitors to Kruger will know that restcamp accommodation is basic but spotless and we were again not disappointed. The accommodation is affordable with just enough luxury to not take away from the bush experience. The staff are friendly and happy to help with any request. The camp itself is... More

The rest camp is very basic and for what you are getting pretty pricey. The rooms sleep 4 in a single rondawel and it can be a bit cramped, however the communal bathrooms are very clean and well kept. The game sighting was the worst of all three places we stayed and i would most certainly NOT recommend this to... More
