We spent three nights here and as safari virgins didn't really know what to expect. Our ranger, Estiaan, was fabulous and very knowledgeable - he took us on some amazing off off road drives and we saw not only the big five but cheetahs, wild dogs and a black rhino and a leopard - stunning. Everyone room has an outside... More

After a long and exhausting journey from home we were ready for some stability for a few days! And at Jock's we found it. This is a great camp, served by great people. This was our fourth time on safari, and was probably the best. Much of the success if a safari depends upon the skill of your ranger, and... More

This was our first safari. We stayed for 3 nights which was just about right. The organisation on a daily basis is second to none. All of the staff work together to provide a very fluent stay. The food - well all I can say is you'll never go hungry here, the food is plentiful and really delicious. Our ranger... More

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Fitzpatrick lodge, which is part of Jock but minutes away from the Main Lodge. Ideal to spend a few days on your own, with your family or group of friends. We had our own magnificent staff, all of whom made our stay the most delightful one. Each one of us was treated like a... More

We had an amazing time ,stayed 3 nights and had 6 amazing safari trips and a walking safari. Lazarus our guide was so knowledgeable and showed us animals we would have missed easily. We were always the last jeep back in so he showed us so much. We saw the big five in spades. Our last trip included a pride... More

We had a fantastic 2 night stay in November with family and wish we could have stayed longer, the staff were so attentive. We had the most amazing game drives and Mika new so much about the bush and wildlife. He made sure that we got to see as many animals as possible. The food was amazing and very varied.... More

A true 5 star lodge in every way. Lovely rooms with the largest selection of “Coffee/Tea/juice/minibar/biscuit” selection I’ve ever seen in a lodge or hotel room (10 out of 10 for this aspect!). Loved the “dog bone” theme which was incorporated in various ways with the decor, very nice touch! Large comfy beds protected by lace mozzie nets, large indoor... More

In order of importance to us this lodge scored as follows: Wine&dine 8/10 food good but our advice is smaller portions more cuisine style. Room 10/10 wow splashpool, view over endless bush and wilderness. Game viewing 9/10 found all big 5 game almost on every drive. driving on the normal Kruger roads with the day visitors reduces the wildness of the... More

Arrived after being transferred from spending 4 days at a smaller lodge so it took us a little while to adjust to the larger lodge. Arrived and was greeted by the friendly staff who seemed like they were rushing us a little bit and then we found out that the reason was they didn't want us to miss the afternoon... More
