We had a group of 22 on a first time visit to South Africa. We planned our trip a year in advance and we're able to reserve the chalets along the river front. Beautiful!!! Elephants, hippos, hyena calling in the night, just perfect. We had a bush braai dinner the first night, and saw 2 leopards along the way. I... More

I love the KNP and have stayed at Skukuza before for only one night and on this occasion stayed for three nights. There is a very strict policy of only checking in after 2pm, so we made a point of doing some sightseeing before arriving at the camp. After checking in and receiving our keys we found to our dismay... More

I was very scared after reading the trip advisor reviews about this place but our tour had no other option .. But to my surprise the place was good... There are three different categories of places to stay here.. One the camp which has shared bathroom and toilet.. Two normal rooms like a standard hotel with all basic amenities and... More

Skukuza Restcamp is located a very game rich area of the Kruger National Park. It is the biggest camp of the park and you will find everything you need. We stayed in a simple furnished rondavel with an outdoor kitchen. Non-selfcaterers will find an outdoor restaurant with delicious food.

I found Skukuza very good and it has matched my expectations. The place is simple, yet every day cleaned and tidied up. The two restaurants serve simple braai meet and also daily stews, as expected in this environment. All the staff are friendly. It's no 5 star accommodation, but the price is also adequate. It's simple, but comfortable and clean.... More

We were 17 people total (adults and children). We booked online via the SanParks website and paid year in advance for the trip. Check-in: Please ensure that your check-in's are done effieciently. We were at reception for over 2 hours to get everyone checked in; the problems being with the booking system, wildcard/ reservation fees and incomptent staff. As an... More

we picked this online after seeing cancellation for two huts in the busy month july.Reasonable accommodations. plan booking months in advance if you want a family lodge that accommodates more 4-8 people also one that may face the river. Checking in can take long as it is a busy camp. It provides for car rental Avis, gas, restaurant limited choices but good... More

Our least favorite of the SAN Parks rest camps that we stayed at – we were in a bungalow on one of the many streets. All the bungalows were close together, making it a loud night hearing the other families next door. This camp is very large and fine for a stop over, but would not recommend a long stay... More

Some of my very early memories are of me at Skukuza with my dad, and as i have grown up it has been one of my favorite places in the world. Seeing the most beautiful animals and then finishing off the day with a braai and a Castle.... can life get any better????
