we stayed here and did a 2 night 3 day safari. It is one of the best things we have ever done. We have never been on a safari before and are more used to 4* hotels and were very nervous at what we would find. We needn't of worried. We stayed in a riverfront private bungalow. It was lovely.... Not sure why they have 3 bed chalets, so for 6 of us, we had to take two. They are comfortably furnished self catering with everything you will need and has aircon. Their shop is well stocked with groceries, no need to bring your own and we bought the best "Oom Kallies" borewors and steaks to braai on their bbq... More

We spent two nights here after a week in Botswana. Kruger does not do well in comparison. The accommodation was fine unless you wanted to cook which might be advisable as the food available was not good. Both restaurants were, however, being renovated so they were closed or operating in a temporary spot. The game viewing was not great and... More

We stayed here for one night. Our lodge was located next to the river. It was very nice. The room and facility was decent. The only odd thing was the refrigerator was outside the room. There was also a barbecue grill outside. We booked the sunset safari from this location in advance. It was awesome. We saw 5 lions fighting... More

Skukuza is one of the main camps in the KNP and with that, one can expect a certain level of tourism and tourist orientated sites. Many people don't know this and expect the pure bush experience - this is not what you will get here but it is ideally situated. The chalet units are basic and neat and clean -... More

We had to swap rooms twice and had problems with our reservations. We spent a lot of money and were not impressed with the service and customer attention. The reception area was over crowded and we were not met by friendly reception staff. The overall service was extremely poor. Most of the tours were full so we could not do some... More

Our experience is not too good. Skukuza restcamp is certainly one of the less attractive hotels/ lodges in the Krugerpark. You better search for another place to stay-over after a long and beautiful day in the Kruger. Too touristic, too many people and looks like a real, cheap campsite. Food in the restaurant is quite poor and obviosly too expensive.... More

Skukuza restcamp is the biggest one in whole KNP. The cabin was way too small. We had to sleep there with 3 people and it was very small and basic. This was because of a mistake was made and everything was fully booked. The facilities are average and I think the shop could have a little bit more stuff. Scenery... More

Skukuza is the biggest of the rest camps at kruger. It has a great location in the park for viewing animals like lions, cheetahs, etc. The rooms are basic but clean and cozy. There's a nice and affordable restaurant in the camp as well as a pool. Staff is friendly too. Definitely recommend for those who aren't looking for a... More

The skukuza rest camp is very nice and cozy and convenient. There is a supermarket that sells all kinds of snacks/drinks/necessities in addition to a souvenir shop. The camp is also in the middle of Kruger National Park, so you can easily see all kinds of animals if you drive around. For example, one day we drove right outside the... More
