We stayed right by the river. They had nice heavy tables on a lovely porch. There was a sitting room, kitchen and braai area. The only real problem we faced was that the camp store was not well-stocked, and the nursery area nearby did not have the plants we wanted. Be sure to check out the nearby Campbell 1929 Hut... More

We do not mind spending a few thousand per night for good accommodation, but selling these river front chalets (No. 206) as luxury is a joke. It cost us +R1,500.00 for a night and R388.00 for one extra matrass on the floor. I do accept it is a 2 pax room and I am not mouning about the extra sleeping... More

Spent two nights here. The camp is large and very well equipped (even an Avis car rental agency). The store had the best selection we saw in Kruger park. Each evening we bought meat, veg, wine and firewood and had a bbq in front of the hut, loads of fun and very easy. Our accommodations were clean. The wildlife around... More

GREAT - Really good people on staff - welcoming people GREAT museum and library area, such interesting display of Kruger Park history - with the lion skin and the knife from the Harry Wolhuter story as well as cultural artifacts and archaeological discoveries. GREAT - Welcoming, helpful and chatty woman on the till in the shop. GREAT - Good area... More

I am a big Kruger Fan - so this review might be a bit biased - but I am keen to give my impression of one of the most beautiful places on earth... 1. Location - Skukuza has a great location beside the Sabie river, lots of bird life. Change of seeing hippos in the river. One of the nearer... More

It is with a heavy heart that I rate one of my favourite places so lowly, Skukuza camp is the premier camp in the Kruger park. It is it's HQ of operations and has some of the best game in the whole park. The restaurant has ruined the whole camp for me, the staff are horrendous, the service is abysmal... More

We traveled over a holiday weekend, so availability at the last minute in Kruger was sparse. We had avoided Skukuza in the past because it is so big, but we were pleasantly surprised. There was no line at reception, our bungalow was spotlessly clean and everything was nice. What made it better was the layout of the bungalos - even... More

Our rondavel was super clean and everything worked well. Had an excellent sunset drive. Had alot of great options at camp and would be wonderful if you were coming here as a family. Staff were very friendly, reception was slightly confusing but fine the next day. Food was not bad. This is a bigger camp so expect a little noise,... More

One does not really have too many choices in Kruger. The Camp accommodation is government run. There are also a few private concessions in The Kruger (expensive) and other lodges outside Kruger (you have to come in every day) This rondavel was small and the beds okay. Bathroom not too clean. Everything a little run down and in need of... More

Very good location for game viewing. While the accommodation is basic (we stayed on the river which is classed as 'superior') the shower water doesn't flow out so there is water on bathroom floor. Was disappointed that the new restaurant (Cattle Baron) had not opened although advertised as been completed at end of April. Food wasn't too bad! It's all... More
