Probably to be expected when a hotel only has six rooms and maybe five times the staff, this place was the perfect introduction to African safari. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and we really enjoyed our time with our rangers and tracker during the game drives. We did not realize that June was one of the best times... More

We were at the Singita Sweni lodge for 4 days and had the best experience of our lives. The lodge is a boutique compound in the middle of the private reserve facing the river where there are hippos singing all day. The atmosphere is 100% relaxed, even though the place accepts children under 12. We felt like at home at... More

We just returned from 4 nights at Singita at Krueger National Park. We stayed 2 nights at Sweni and 2 Nights at Lebombo. All I can say is WOW! Absolutely spectacular design, ultra luxury accommodations and world class food and drinks. We had high expectations prior to our arrival (due to other TripAdvisor reviews) and it was even better than... More

Safari holidays don't get any better than this. Staff that can't do enough to help and make you feel like you're part of a family; superb food and service; an incredible wine cellar and even more remarkable sommelier; accommodation as good as it gets pretty much anywhere in the world; knowledgeable and passionate trackers and guides, oh, and pretty amazing... As the description of Sweni lodge and its accommodations has been well documented in previous posts, the only addition that I'd like to make is that pictures and words do not do it justice. I have no better way to put it than you are truly enveloped by the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of Kruger when you are there.... More

Sweni lodge is a gem in the small concession it serves within the Kruger Park. Special praise for chef Sydney whose talents never seized to amaze us. The lodge is beautifully adorned, privacy guaranteed in each of the 6 rooms. The wine cellar is quite large, and a wine tasting easily arranged. It shares a "village" with another lodge, Lebombo,... I have stayed in five different South African lodges, three with Singita (Lebombo, Sweni, Ebony) and two with other Relais & Chateaux (Kwandwe and Camp Jabulani). All are reviewed on tripadvisor, and I will not repeat here some general comments about lodge comparisons that you can read in these other reviews. Anyhow, as Lebombo and Sweni share the same reserve... More

This was the best experience in South Africa we have had on any Safar/game reserve. Pick a category - all were the best. We did not want to leave. We will be back. This is a place that a two night stay is not enough...two weeks is what I would suggest. We reviewed all related websites and none of them... More

After staying at some of the top places in South Africa for our honeymoon (Kensington Place, Delaire Graff and Singita Ebony), Singita Sweni was pretty much the only way to match what we'd already experienced. With our standards already pretty high, Sweni managed to once again exceed them! I didn't really understand how the safari experience would differ between Ebony... More

My husband and I stayed at Singita Sweni for 2 nights. We then flew to Singita Ebony (see review) for 3 nights as we took advantage of the 1 free night promotion when staying at 2 seperate lodges within the Singita family of lodges. I would highly recommend this as it's a perfect opportunity to experience 2 different terrains, upscale... More
