We only stayed the one night. Came in by Malelane gate, reception was great, very good shop, did not use restaurant. We stayed in 3 bed bungalow with kitchen a view of river. Nice enough but dark and a nice shower with glass door.

My wife and my parents spend one night at berg en dal. The chalets is as old as the kruger park itself. Poor decor. Poor equiped kitchen. Dirty showers and uncomfy beds. The chalet is for 4 people but yet the cutlery and glasses in the chalet is not even enough for 2 people. A real let down keeping in... More

We stayed in a Family Unit (4 adults). The rooms were clean, as can be expected from SanParks. The shop isn't a supermarket, but you can get the bare essentials from them (meat, charcoal etc). The restaurant had very good food, and many options to choose from, however service wasn't entirely fast. The game drives were very good and informative... More

Only stayed one night at Berg En Dal restcamp in FA6 family Cottage which was much better than expected. It was very clean, spacious , open plan living area with everything you require for self catering holiday. The outside Courtyard was excellent with BBQ and lots of seating. The swimming pool is excellent although very busy, all age groups having... More

on the very southern side of the park. This lodge is ideal for late arrival, only 15 minutes away from the gate. Rooms are ok and spacey (with dishes for Braai/barbecue) , no great views into the park. Game drives well organized. All in all ok.

Seeing four rhinoceros wallowing in a pool a few meters from your car is enough to win over even the most critical person. This was my experience just a few months ago when I visited Kruger in 2013. The amazing thing is that you just cannot believe you are actually witnessing it! I stayed at Berg-en-Dal whilst in the park... More

I must admit to some trepidation booking a bungalow at Berg en Dal rest camp because I'd been told they were quite basic. In my case I booked a type BA3U which lists the following facilities: 3 single beds, Aircon, Fridge, Hotplate, Sink, Utensils, Wc and shower. I stayed for just one night. The bedroom, kitchen area and bathroom were... More

Camp for a short stay. For longer camping it is too. In need of a renovation. Part of the equipment is already quite worn. The restaurant has the same menu as everywhere, and that's a shame. After a week it's annoying.

We spent three nights at Berg-en-Dal Camp, because not knowing better we thought one has to stay at a Kruger-Park-Camp in order to properly visit the park. Well if you are planning to visit Kruger Park, just be aware: - This camp is only 10 Minutes drive away from Malelane Gate - Right outside Malelane Gate there are beautiful lodges... More

Great camp site, however as with all the restaurants that are run by SANParks, avoid them. Disappointment when it comes to restaurant food delivery. What sadness me even more is that this is the same statement for all the camps we visited; Lower Sabie, Satara, Skukuza and Letaba. They all have the same menu and they all have the same... More
