we had a great, comfortable and all round exceptional time at the lodge. And our amazing game driver THEMBA exceeded all expectations and managed to get us a sight of all the animals we wanted to and more.

Hoyo Hoyo was our first stop on our African adventure. The rooms are very cute and comfortable and separated enough so that you do not hear or see other guests. Outdoor shower was great and lots of hot water. It was cool in the mornings but nice and warm during the day and evening. The food was great and a... More

Well Hoyo Hoyo...what an experience. We travelled during peak winter in August 2015 as a family of 3 with a child aged 8 ½ years old. To start with, we had a bit of delay in entering KNP from Orpen Gate approx @ 5:50pm (well past beyond official time) but the lodge admin made sure a Mr. Bradley - our... More

When my husband and I travel, in order to avoid fights, we each get to choose a place to stay. He chose Hoyo-Hoyo Safari Lodge. Although he chose it, it may very well be my favorite spot in the WORLD. Yes, the WORLD. I am an American, living in Honolulu, sitting on vacation in Perth leaving for Bali tomorrow. I've... More

Hoyo Hoyo was our first stop for our honeymoon. Every second there was amazing, pure luxury. The food was unbelievably good! On our first night we had a sit down 3 course meal with fillet steak for main, perfection. Our second night was a traditional BBQ with our safari rangers. This was great and we got to try some traditional... More

I loved the traditional style, it really added to the safari experience. The lodge had a relaxed feel to it, the staff were friendly but not overly attentive. The thatched accommodation was beautiful. Really comfy bed. Small decked area to sit on & chill. We had a friendly bushbuck come visit us. The riverbed was dry when we were there,... More

Excellent accomodation but because their is hardly any wildlife, safari experience is poor. Also the quality of the food is not very good. Therefore the value for money is bad. Excellent sleeping and nice and very clean rondavels

Dear Guest, The Kruger offers the largest diversity of wildlife in Southern Africa. Game viewing and safari experiences are based upon many circumstances including weather and if you note the previous review dated 8 August guests saw everything "My wife and I spent four days at the Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge, mostly being driven around looking at wild animals. My wife and I spent four days at the Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge, mostly being driven around looking at wild animals. We saw EVERYTHING: cheetahs, elephants, leopards, hippos, zebras, giraffes, kudu, lots of lions, and many other species. In fact, there was a watering hole just behind the lodge where as many as ten elephants showed up all at once.... More

Private Lodge on own consession in central Kruegerpark close to Orpen gate. Highly recommended for authentic gamedrives with nice and knowlegdable guides. Exellent kitchen and luxurious rooms in single huts and privacy.
