We stay here one night during our safari. The place is in the wild with animals walking around freely. Our treehouse was a bit further away from the main building, so we had to walk a bit, but that wasn`t an issue. The treehouse No. 1 was ensuite and was nicely furnished and clean. There is a small water area... More

The place is just amazing. Its literally in the jungle with no fencing. Early mornings one can see a lot of wild life just outside the tent. The bathrooms are not attached (ofcourse) but are close by and clean. We lived in the tent and had no problems with insects or monkeys as we could zip up and seal the... More

Our safari in Kruger Park was organised by Viva Safaris and we spend one night in Tremisa Lodge and two nights in Marc's Treehouse Lodge. It was very exciting to stay in a treehouse, it was for the firtst time and we enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and food was OK even that I didn't taste the impala stew.... More

I was here for 2 days and stayed in the tented camp. I thought it was great. We had to walk for some 5 minutes toget to the camp in the parc. The way there was well lighted so don't worry about walking in the dark in the park where also animals are. In the morning there were Nyala's near... More

We were really looking forward to staying in a "tree house". There was but one. There are a handful of tents and "cabins" but only one real tree house. The accommodations were more than enough, but with a little extra effort, the cabins could be really nice and "monkey proof". The mosquito nets were a necessity as there are gaps... More

We have just returned from a fabulous 5 day safari in the Kruger/Greater Kruger National Park. The trip was organised by Viva Safaris (a wonderful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable team of guides/hosts) and included a one night stay night in Tremisana Lodge and four nights in Marc's Treehouse Lodge. Both provided friendly, comfortable and value for money accommodation in stunning natural surroundings.The... More

If you are looking for an uber-luxe, posh, sanitized safari experience, this is probably not the place for you. But if you are looking for exceedingly warm, friendly service, knowledgeable guides, clean but a bit rustic accommodations, delicious home cooked communal meals, then Marc's Treehouse is a fantastic place. I had the experience of a lifetime staying here - the... More

Hi Lauren Thanks for a truly great review, We are very happy that you enjoyed the exceedingly warm service, knowledgeable guides, clean and rustic accommodation and delicious home-cooked communal meals. This is what makes our guests happy and they are quite willing to forego the luxuries of , as you put it, "uber-luxe, posh, sanitised safaris". We are flattered by... More

Every experience is different but... Really, this was the best travel experience I ever had. But you have to be aware it s tree houses, in the bush... so don't ask for hilton style (as I red in some very disapointing and dishonest reviews here). Thank's to all the people working I had a wonderful time. I m gonna listen... More

I booked a 5 day/4 night Tree House Safari at Viva Safaris. I stayed at Marc's Treehouse Lodge 3 nights, from night 2. My hut was not on top of a tree, but one of the ensuites on the bank of the river. The room was decorated nicely, one window facing the river (no curtain on that one!), the other... More

Hi there The title " The best holiday with Viva Safaris " says it all ! Thanks for a very good and detailed review ! We are pleased that you enjoyed your treehouse - we shall have to look into replacing those "silly British taps" - hopefully all our UK tourists won't mind ! Great review about the food, WIFI,... I got there quite late after an amazing day in the Kruger NP. The only tree house/bungalow available was way at the end of the resort...being a solo traveler it was a bit scary for me and the room was not inviting at all.... I went to the reception asking to change the room for something closer to others...the place... More
