We stayed in one of their "semi-luxury" tents which i was pleasantly surprised with as it was much more spacious and well-appointed than i was expecting it to be. The shower was piping hot and quite powerful which was a surprise! We were right on the perimeter so found the electric fence to be quite distracting as it zapped insects/branches... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Tamboti. It is truly a REAL bush experience. Right next to the river you could hear and see wildlife. We had an elephant come right up to the electric fence. So it was a very cool experience. The rooms are pretty simple, but what else do you need in the bush but a bed... More

A truly surprise, clean, the situation and the silence around the camp is great, fantastic game viewing...the complete camp works...we defiantly back here..... Nothing so for the first hand visiter, need to bring all your food stuff, strictly self catering....

My small family arrived at Tamboti tented camp with some trepidation - we do not camp well. To our surprise the tent was set up on top of a large deck (one of the luxury units). The main room was spacious. It sported a refrigerator, closet, and pantry, and a superb shower room. The deck terrace was large and the... More

The setting is amazing! Other than the busy park camps Tamboti as so peaceful and you hardly ever hear people. The ablutions are very clean and there is lots of animal activity in and around the camp itself. I would only recommend that they put bigger fans in the Tents as they can become proper saunas in the day time.

The tents and facilities were clean, and well serviced and more than adequate. The camp was also not very busy when we were there (November 2013), so this helped I guess. All the communal facilities were clean and in good working order, and the staff that we made contact with were all very friendly (unlike some of the staff in... More

Our large group stayed in several of the luxury permanent 'tents' - I view these structures more as cabins. They are raised off the ground on posts, stairs leading to a decking area with table and chairs. The washing up/cooking area is outside - I found preparing food and cleaning up after quite nice, as you didn't just have a... More

We loved this little camp. Nice vegetation/trees between the tents. Very well designed to give you maximum privacy. Good clean bathrooms, even a nice large bathtub in the women's bathroom. Good cooking facilities. There is no restaurant or shops or drinking water here so you have to bring your own. The tents were very comfortable and had a nice porch... More

The camp is very peaceful and the fixed tents allow you to hear the most amazing animal and bird sounds! The ablution and kitchen facilities are very clean and it was a pleasure using them. The tents are in a very good condition and the camp is well maintained. The staff in the camp were a very friendly and helpful.... More

Just back from Tamboti tented camp.It was an amazing experience. At night you hear the roaring lions,hyenas,...around the camp. Every night we've been visited by a couple of honey badgers. Did a sunset drive from 16h30 until 19h30...had the whole safari vehicle only for the 2 of us. Bought our "braai" meat before entering the park.In the luxury tents all utensils... More
