Stayed at Tamboti Tented Camp during a school excursion. The tent had four single beds, clean linen and well maintained, a cupboard for clothes, a fan, lights and sufficient plug points. Beds comfortable. Tents overlook the dry riverbed in the winter months, but still loads of animals were seen. Each tent has a patio with patio furniture, a fridge and... More

It was an exciting experience. After the sun went down, we could here the sounds of so many animals by the river right next to our tent.I was only terrified to walk through the dark brush towards the toilet at night to relieve myself. It was very scary! However, my time in Kruger would've felt incomplete had I not stayed at Tamboti!

We visited Tamboti twice this year: once in a standard tent and once in the deluxe tent. We really enjoyed both stays, but especially in the deluxe tent. It had a real "outdoor" feeling, but did offer the luxury (nice bathroom, kitchen, kingsize bed) and privacy. Both tents were clean. We feel that Tamboti is the best camp in Kruger... More

We looked forward to our 2 night stay at Tamboti as the perfect end to our holiday. We enjoyed a hassle free book in at the Orpen Camp and were duly warned about the monkeys and baboons. We arrived at tent 38 really looking forward to a relaxing last couple of days. Upon arrival it looked wonderful – just what... More

Stayed at Tamboti Camp in the Kruger park for 1 night - wish we cold have stayed for more. Fantastic camp very floe to Orpen. Definitely one of the best camps I have stayed at in the Kruger. Would recommend a luxury tent with your own bathroom and kitchen facilities. Need to be aware of the Baboons as they have... More

The elevated tents are clean and well kept, the ablutions were great and the location was grand. Exactly what we were looking for in a bush experience. We enjoyed an array of wildlife and the serenity was Devine. The honey badger visitors were a plus!

We had a safari tent with no kitchen or bathroom. We used the communal facilities. Anything you want to cook / eat with, you must bring yourself. Towels and bed linen are provided. There is also a fridge and caged area for food on the veranda of your tent. Be aware....monkey hands can get through the holes in the mesh... More

In this camp, you will sleep in large tent (shower, outdoor kitchen with fridge, hot plates) along the Timbavati river. We didn't enjoy the night because of the cold weather, of the lack of comfort and of the baboons. As soon as you close your tent for the night, they arrive in the outdoor kitchen, searching food, they are making... More

We stayed in tent 24 and I've heard we had the best one and people were asking when we were leaving so they could rent the tent. Nights are FREEZING COLD in july and dont forget to breng china.
