We just returned from a trip to Kruger Park. Our first part of the trip was spent at the Wild Olive Tree Camp, which was fabulous. The second park was at the Mopani Rest Camp. The camp itself is stunning and the bungalows are really lovely. They are clean and in excellent condition. As a guest, you really don't need... More

We had a large bungalow for a family that was clean and nice. Every bungalow have kitchen outside and bbq. You can have game drive with local guide: ours was not so lucky.... There is a restaurant inside the camp: strongly suggested the breakfast, amazing view!!!!!!!!

Many camps don't offer enough accommodation for larger families (more than 3 pax). Mopani has the FF6 chalets which are ideal. We had a good unit allocated. The unit was spotless and presented good value for money. Travelers should know that Mopani is situated in an area within KNP where game is not as abundant but the natural beauty is... More

We stayed in four different camps in Kruger and this was probably our favorite! The huts are great and there is a nice bar and restaurant looking over the water. The camp is far enough north that it seems like the camp is completely disconnected from the rest of humanity.

This was the second time we booked our entire Kruger Park stay at Mopani Rest camp. This camp remains the best "public" and affordable camp . The camp is more modern and has that "new" feel to it compared to the other public camps. There's a variety of rooms to choose from, ranging from large family rooms to smaller 2... More

Really happy with the camp... The rooms are nice and neat. The one thing is being amongst the Mopani trees right around the bungalows... you don't have any view really. But it still has that great Kruger feel.

We spent 2 nights at this camp and we're really pleasantly surprised by it. It is very far north but there is decent game in the area. Make sure you take binoculars to try and count the crocodiles in the massive dam which the bar overlooks. The walk around the perimeter was great as it takes you right up to... More

We had not been back to the Kruger Park for some 30 years (!). The Internet has provided reviews ranging from excellent to diabolical, so we came to Mopani ready for anything. We were pleasantly surprised. The rondavel (bungalow) was fairly basic, but clean and neat, with a lovely view over the dam. It was comprehensively equipped for doing your... More

Mopani Camp at the Pioneer Dam in the Kruger National Park is operated by South African National Parks. It is definite the most modern camp in the north of the Kruger National Park. Reception staff is very friendly and also the view from the bar onto the Pioneer Dam is stunning. If you want to have the view from your... More

If you pick a dam view bungalow the accommodation star will go for 2 to 5!! What a lovely bush camp with an amazing bar and restaurant and the most breath taking views of the dam. The staff in my opinion are the most friendly out of every camp in the Kruger (I have stayed in all). The staff are... More
