Mopani is a large camp in the Kruger Park with some positives and negatives. Positives Very clean and well run rest camp. Build with lots of pockets of bush in between clusters of units which blends in well with the environment. Large size rooms and units when comparing to many of the camps in the South. Often has accommodation available... More

The rest camp is certainly perfectly located for game viewing in either a southernly or northernly direction. On arrival (between main gate and camp we saw SO SO much it almost crossed off the entire trip list!) 🌟 rooms are great but remember kitchens are open kitchens and are outside the unit's. So take mosquito repellant. 🌟 check with docter... More

Lovely camp. great staff. They have a RESTAURANT, not just fast food. Lovely accommodation, very relaxed camp. Good game around, elephants, buffalo, sable antelope, lovely place, good people, we'll visit again. Very relaxed.

We came to the kruger not knowing what to expect and had our first night at mopani. We wished we had stayed longer. We were in a family lodge which was clean and comfortable. We would definitely return as one night was not enough to really enjoy the place. The restaurant was good.

We arrived at Mopani following a night at Berg-en-Dal and three nights at Satara which had been very different to each another. Well, to say Mopani was different again would be an understatement. We were lucky enough to have two six bed bungalows overlooking the Pioneer Dam and the views from our verandah were simply stunning, particularly at sunset. These... More

Great, quiet camp with natural vegetation everywhere. You can go for walks through the camp and enjoy the impressive view from the viewing deck. The area around Mopani is the best in the park, always being full of surprises and rare sightings. During winter, the abundant Mopani trees give colour to the otherwise dull landscape. The camp is on a... More

Mopani is a very nice rest camp. We stayed in a cottage - very nice with a full kitchen! It is in the center of Kruger and we had excellent wildlife viewing. A big plus is there are no baboons or monkeys to disturb everything, so no worries about food in the frig! It was peaceful and a very nice... More

When in South Africa be sure to visit the Kruger National Park. And when in KNP be sure to stay at Mopani Rest Camp. It is one of the newest camps so the amenities are new, the staff are friendly and the camp has a great feel about it. If you are lucky enough to be in a lake-facing room... More
