We stayed in a large 6 bed unit as part of a business and pleasure trip (business for me, pleasure for my family). The rest camp sits alongside a large sweeping bend of the river that has wonderful views. During the winter dry season, water is still available in pockets and some wildlife is visible, although less so than during... More

We spent two nights two nights in a wheelchair accessible bungalow at Letaba, although listed as being on the camp perimeter it was a few yards away and you could not see the river from the bungalow itself (unlike our tent at Lower Sabie). The accommodation was spacious, simply furnished but reasonably comfortable. Food at the camp restaurants is reasonably... More

We had the family in 2 family cottages, 109 and 110, each with 6 beds,( 2 rooms, each with 3 beds) and found them very clean, well equipped and comfortable, with a nice river view from 110.. We watched hippos come down to the river at dawn, and had birds, bushbuck and a few vervet monkeys around. The cleaning staff... More

Generally the service in the Kruger Park camps is good and I can understand some people having an off day but the Letaba camp reception staff (including the duty managers) have provided us with consistently bad service over the years - the two most recent incidents being December 2011 and March 2012. They don't keep their promises they make, they... More

The view from this camp compared to the neighbouring Olifants camp is not comparable but nonetheless beautiful. I feels like you are on the river and the animals are within arms reach. The atmosphere at Letaba was great. The rooms are set amongst palms and acacias, very picturesque. There's a few resident Bushbuck who are very friendly and like to... More

Spent 2 nights in a hut here on the perimeter of the camp facing the river, what a treat! So many animals on the river, elephants, giraffe and zebra to name a few. The accomodation was small but clean and the camp was tidy. I would definately recomend upgarding to accomadation with a kitchen and bathroom as the communal kitchens... More

Our best Kruger experience by far, Letaba is beautifully situated on the river. The sunrises are majestic, the elephants are all around and you can the hippos constantly We stayed in a 2 bedroom self catering unit which had a beautiful river front view, authentic African style and a great BBQ area! The units are getting a little old in... More

Letaba is our least favourite of the three restcamps we stayed in. Very very hot location and no ceiling fans in rooms ( air con worked sporadically). Rooms were a bit tired. Resturant food ok but took hours to be served.....lost the will to eat by the time it arrived ( they werent even very busy so no real excuse).

Hi, Lot of animals to see around, specially when it is raining ... Animals seems to prefer fresh air :) The Letaba rest camp is nice, with possibility to do some shopping. There is a swimming pool, without any shower :( Thx

I stayed with my boyfriend and his parents on a tent in letaba camp. I think the tents are really OK. You are on a safari trip in Kruger, so do not expect the best comfort. This is not a luxury lodge and does not pretend to be one. So, for its purposes is OK. You have clean shared restrooms,... More
