Many of the camps in Kruger national Park have been upgraded and we had one of the upgraded units overlooking the bush with its passing animals. The beds were comfortable and offer the best reading light for bedtime reading. Our cottage had new tiles, the bathroom had been upgraded and Mug & Bean now runs the restaurant a huge plus... More

I visited this camp with my sister and niece we spent the night and had great night we did self cater and the chalet was well stocked and clean . The staff are all very friendly and professional . We then spent 2 nights at a different camp and when leaving we stopped here for breakfast which was one of... More

The staff are friendly and willing to help. I had one issue with my bungalow. I spoke to a staff member and she organised to fix the problem before I got back from the afternoon game drive. I only raised this late in the afternoon. To me, this demonstrated good prompt service. It is a lovely leafy rest camp in... More

This was our second time to Kruger Park. In 2010, we visited and stayed in Mopani Camp, which we thought was pretty nice. Not like a downtown San Francisco hotel with plush furnishings, but it was very comfortable and offered the amenities we expected in the South African bush. Letaba Rest Camp was a notch above Mopani which, as I... More

Huge congratulations to National Parks for the manner they are managing the Kruger Park, especially Letaba. The new restaurant is top class and looking at all the happy faces everyone enjoyed themselves. Well stocked shop offering everything from curious to essential foodstuff. But most importantly is the friendly and well trained personnel. From entering at Phalaborwa gate to the reception... More

Letaba rest camp is set high on the Letaba river bank. The chalets and restaurant have nice views over the river. The rest camp is conveniently located near the Phalaborwa gate. We only spent one night dining and sleeping there as we returned from the Mphongolo Backpacing Trail at Shingwedzi and left early the next morning. The bungalow was neat... More

We stayed four nights on the campsite. I was very impressed with the Letaba Rest Camp which is very well maintained, clean and well equipped. The camp site is a nice location with many trees, good ablution blocks and is kept very tidy by a surprising number of staff. The new Mugg and Bean restaurant is very smart with a... More

Camped at Letaba for a couple of nights over the Easter period and it was busy, but great. Campsites are maintained well and kept clean, same with the ablutions. Found a nice spot along the perimeter fence where you have a view into the bush beyond the fence. It is a big(ish) camp with some lovely views over the Letaba... More

When booking a ctt4 safari tent, try book #4. It is fence facing and the one on the end furthest from the swimming pool. The most private of them. Very neat, clean and good quality linen. Pay R60 more for these instead of the ctt2 tents which are more central in the camp, in order to sleep next to resident... More

The restcamp is located on the banks of the Letaba River. Generally, the camp is well-located, with easy access from Phelabora Gate. There is also easy access to the Mozambique Border gate. The camp itself is large, and very attractive, with a huge trees, a nice elephant "tusker" museum, and a great deck overlooking the Letaba River. The game viewing... More
