Letaba was perhaps my favourite of all the camps we have stayed at in Kruger over the course of 4 visits spread out over 20 years. Great and v interesting elephant museum. Touching to see bios/photos of the great tuskers - less so the part on "how to kill an elephant" ... but all very well done and informative. The... More

Many of the rondavels are being upgraded with a paint job and new mattresses. The mostly have working air con which is important most of the year. Letaba is distinctive from other camps because it has a nice herd of antelope living within the camp as well as plenty of vervent monkeys that will raid your car if you leave... More

Spent a night here on a 4 day trip in the park. Rooms were clean and spacious although a bit dated, but no one is really there to spent time in the rooms. Ate at Mugg and Bean and highlight at Letaba were the bats daily routine of leaving their roost on the side of the restaurant. You got a... More

The camp is great, rather a quitter camp, but great with the elephant museum. The great veranda overlooking the Letaba river has an inviting Mugg&Bean. We ordered breakfast for 7 people , had coffees. 5 out of 7 mugs were very dirty, with lipstick on....terrible...we called management. Apologi, but what can you do. No control of the retardant from Mugg&Bean... More

One of my favourite 3 camps to visit, but the first time I am rating it. The huts are clean, neat and well maintained. The landscaping of doringbome, shrubs and grass creates such a beautiful setting. Just to sit on your verandah and appreciating the beauty around you. Do take the time and visit the elephant display with real life... More

We stayed in Letaba for two nights. Unfortunately there was not a lot of river to look at because of the drought. The problem came however when we went to the Mugg & Bean for dinner. My sister ordered yogurt with fruit. The yogurt was seriously off and when we called the manager over she argued with us explaining that... More

It is always a pleasure to visit Letaba. We had a family unit for six people beautifully dit used on the river and very well equipped. How strange, however, the configuration of two rooms with three beds each. We were two couples and two adult children and it needed to be girls and boys. Not ideal. Why not change them into... More

Although it probably was built in the 1960's (I guess)- this is a nice place to camp. Remember to bring your own food - the barbeque is ready just outside your hut. They've also got a very nice elephant museum (worth a visit) and a pool area- great for kids. There is also a spectacular view over the riverbanks from... More

1 night stay in a tented lodge. Lodge was basic, as you would expect in Kruger, but clean and equipped with a fridge and fan. Shared ablutions in shower block which was clean with plenty of hot water. Bungalows and camping facilities are also available and the pool is a welcome sight. A very convenient stop off point.
