This was a nice rest camp with full amenities including vehicle fuel, camping supplies, restaurant, and souvenirs. The bungalow had a good flush toilet but it took a LONG time to get hot water for a shower. The bungalow was "baboon proof" to a large degree. There were two twin beds in the bungalow. The M&B restaurant and camp store... More

We stayed in a two-person safari tent which was comfortable and convenient. The ablutions are always clean. We were again a very large family party, and the camp made the day-visitors site available for our supper/braai and evening get-together, so that we could socialise in comfort and without disturbing the other guests. This is excellent, considerate service. The camp is... More

Late is a terrific rest camp; arguably the best in the Kruger Park. It's in good condition and well-maintained. The restaurant - now a Mugg & Bean – is a welcome improvement on its predecessor. The camp has a well-stocked shop with a good range of merchandise including fresh produce. There is also an elephant museum, which is interesting and... More

Letaba Rest Camp is one of the best places to stay in the kruger if you want to see the wild life. among the animals we saw: cheetahs, leopard, southern ground hornbill, civets (at night), spotted hyena, and many more antelopes, elephants, giraffes, birds and so on

Situated next to the river. Hippo's grazing next to the fence at night. Elephants visible crossing the river. Superb view of sunrise & sunset. Stayed in Safari tent. Very comfortable beds, with linen, blankets & towels provided.

Letaba being one of the bigger camps in the Kruger National Park is nice to stay, when you reserve a chalet as close as possible to the river. The big trees are nice to sit in the shade having breakfast in front of your chalet or the near by restaurant. Relax and enjoy the more or less resident bush bucks... More

Many of the camps in Kruger national Park have been upgraded and we had one of the upgraded units overlooking the bush with its passing animals. The beds were comfortable and offer the best reading light for bedtime reading. Our cottage had new tiles, the bathroom had been upgraded and Mug & Bean now runs the restaurant a huge plus... More

The staff are friendly and willing to help. I had one issue with my bungalow. I spoke to a staff member and she organised to fix the problem before I got back from the afternoon game drive. I only raised this late in the afternoon. To me, this demonstrated good prompt service. It is a lovely leafy rest camp in... More

This was our second time to Kruger Park. In 2010, we visited and stayed in Mopani Camp, which we thought was pretty nice. Not like a downtown San Francisco hotel with plush furnishings, but it was very comfortable and offered the amenities we expected in the South African bush. Letaba Rest Camp was a notch above Mopani which, as I... More
