We love the stunning nature scenes and super exciting things to do as a family. The resort is very neat and staff kind and helpful. Birds, mokeys and little mammals are all over. The walking trails next to the river is short enough for little kids to join in the fun. The public toilets are neat and close to the... More

My wife is South African and we decided to spend a long weekend at Swadini amongst the jumping around introducing the family to our little ones. Swadini is a place where as Kids my wife and family used to go and they loved it and for me...wow. Incredible views, the stars were soo bright and the wildlife was immense. We... More

We've been visiting Swadini for a number of years, both as campers in the caravan park, as well as in the chalets. The silence and solitude in the chalet area still remains one of the best reasons to visit Swadini. The Drakensberg mountains keeping an eye on the resort still remains majestic. However, this is unfortunately the only good things... More

Fantastic and beautiful camp! So well situated! These people thought of everything! The ablution blocks are really stunning. The park is well maintained and staff extremely friendly. Excellent camp for families with small children as well (remember the bicycles!). Also remember to do the Blyderiver dam boat trip - so worth every cent!

We visit here often. We have never made use of the restaurants, so I cannot give any info on the food. The units are clean, well maintained, well built and in a really beautiful area. However..... Some times are better than others. We go simply for nature, surroundings, views and peace and quiet... Which brings me to my next point.....peace... More

Swadini is located in the spectacular Drakensberg of South Africas lowveld. In close vicinity of the Blyderivierspoortdam it makes for unbelievable vistas We have been visiting the resort for many years. Save for children and many attractions in the area. No real internet access though so leave the electronics home and enjoy nature at its best. Staff at reception should... More

This is one of those destinations which you continue to visit your entire life. The location is perfect, the facilities are great and there's so many different activities in the surrounding area to keep the whole family busy & entertained. We will probably continue to come here for as long as we are able to.

I have been staying on a regular basis at Swadini since 1983 and this is truly an amazing resort! Accommodation is great and the service by the friendly staff very efficient! There is just something so perfect about sitting outside your chalet and looking at "Oom Paul's Kop" and listening to the baboons chattering in the mountain - truly food... More

This is a rustic african experience and not for everyone. It is on the usual tourist route to the Kruger Park but more of a local secret. However we used to go there for weekends for many years and the place has not changed. The scenery inmidst of the Blyde River Canyon is just amazing and a wonderful retreat. The... More

At the entrance to Blyde River Canyon and Blyderivierpoort Dam, at the foot of the impressive Mariepskop, sits this lovely resort on expansive and well-kept grounds with roaming wild deer and hen. Though a single traveler, I was assigned a three bedroom cottage with plenty of room - at 50% midweek senior discount to boot! The small restaurant offered basic... More
