The staff was available, attentive, warmhearted. They helped us to go to the Durban airport twice. The hotel is very well located, in front of the sea. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable. We saw dolphins from our terrace and we slept with the sound of the waves. Do not hesitate to ask a room on the first floor for... More

What a lovely little place. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Perfect location, stone throw away from the beach. Saturday night was noise due to people leaving from the pub up the road. The noise however was brief and by 9am was over. I would go back any time.

Room was spotless, comfortable and well-equipped - with a view to die for. The communal facilities were great too, although the pool was a lot smaller than we were expecting. Mind you, with the beach so close we didn't use it! We ate breakfast on the terrace overlooking the beach. Winston and the team provided brill service - thanks a... More

We arrived today. After staying at the vinyard guest house this is a total dissapointment...firstly we are paying R2400 a night for the captains cabin which is falsely advertised on the internet and in their brochure. I booked a room with tastefull dark furniture. We get to the room and the furniture is PAINTED in a cheap grey colour, busy... More

We arrived in town without a reservation looking for a beach front option. Driving in, there seemed to be endless options but we soon found that most of the big properties facing the sea are actually holiday apartments. There seemed to be only 2 options actually on the beach close to Ballitos bars and restaurants . I first tried the... More

We stayed for 2 nights last week. The rooms are right opposite the ocean with a great view and the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep at night. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the lounge area with free wifi is a lovely place to get some work done. There is secure parking available and the... More

My husband and I stayed at Vetho House for 2 nights with our 9 month old. Our room overlooked the ocean. It was very clean and modern. The room was a bit small for a young child. It was a tight fit with our camp cot. They didn't seem well-equipped to deal with small children. However, Wilson was incredibly accommodating... More

Vetho House is a beachfront boutique hotel in Ballito, a holiday resort north of Durban. Unless you plan to lie on the beach or read novels in your room all day, you will need your own transport (e.g. a hired car from Durban airport), as Ballito has a suburban ambience and there are few shops, restaurants or tourist attractions within... We spent one night here and it was quite enjoyable. The rooms overlook the sea and are a stone's throw away from the beach which is across a parking lot. Double bed was comfy and bathroom has a huge shower. There are two restaurants nearby which are within a safe walking distance. The manager, Wilson, was very helpful and friendly.... More

Stayed 3 nights at this B&B we found on Booking.com. Had a very pleasant stay, the rooms were nice, bathrooms excellent, layout very compact and the manager was very helpful and friendly. Only negative - and a big one- was the breakfast. It was really pathetic. We've been to so many B&B's all over the globe, but none of them... More
