I had a very peaceful stay at al Marrakesh, check-in was very easy, and I was never bothered by any staff. Reception was friendly, and I would definitely recommend al Marrakesh as a means of accommodation.

My husband and I attended a reunion in Natal and flew from King Shaka airport so decided to stay in Ballito. We found a delightful guest house called Al Marrakesh Guest House straight out of the Arabian Knights. We were welcomed by a young lady who showed us around and as it was a Sunday she went off duty and... More

Recently we spend three days at this b/b. This was our 2nd visit and just as good as the first. It is so comfortable, all the equipment (kettles, microwaves, etc etc) are of the highest quality. Beds, bedding so luxurious...but the cream on the top was the staff. They were pleasant, helpful, and ready to see to our smallest need...I... More

The room was nicely decorated and clean but expensive. We were quite disapointed to see how dirty the pool was (it looked like a health hazard) and mentioned that also to the owner. The additional fact that a dog in the neighbourhood was barking the whole night made the stay not as relaxing as we hoped for.

No doors to bathrooms No breakfast included No Internet Dirty Rats in room Not enough parking Staff not trained Pool leaked and had 1/4 amount of usual water 8 TV channels Website is misleading. We left the place a day early , as it was unbearable. Could have stayed in a hotel for less and received more.

I was surprised to read the other reviews after our pleasant stay. I think people need to remember that after all, this is a suburban B+B, not the Holiday Inn :) I had a wedding in Ballito and had avoided booking accommodation as everything I saw was very overpriced, for what looked like someones badly decorated spare room. At the... More

We booked this accommodation after looking at the pictures and were really disappointed. While the room was large we booked or 3 people - a single and a double only to find we were all in one room with only a curtain separating off the bathroom. The pool was dirty and un-usable. The room not all that clean. It was... More

Checking their website, my wife booked digs for us at Al Marrakesh Ballito as the pics looked beautiful, intimate & exotic & the rates, slightly above par suggested something a bit special. The website leads one to believe this is an exotic, peaceful place Moroccan style. We arrived, met the on duty manager & were pressed to pay up front... More
