The new Wilderness Beach Hotel is making every effort to improve on past standards and during a recent visit we found the staff friendly and very helpful. I looking forward to seeing the rest of the improvements on my next visit.

This hotel also known as Wilderness Pearl was offering discounted accommodation on Groupon. We booked for two nights with another couple and at R300 per night for the room it was worth it. The hotel is in need of an upgrade but not that bad that you could not have a good stay. The rooms were clean and beds firm... More

We are so fortunate that the worst was saved for last on our trip. This establishment is in dire need of repair / revamp and ordinary maintenance meanwhile. The aircon didn't work in 401, so we were moved to 408 where the aircon didn't work either. The beds are way past their sell by date. Broken wall plug outlets, dirty... More

Stayed 2 nights at end September 2013. Nice position for walks on the beach and base to travel around Garden Route. This hotel however needs a repair. Taps leak, beds are old, sliding door to balcony is hard to slide etc, etc. There are many B&B's in Wilderness that offer better accommodation. We got a special deal, otherwise we would... More

I stayed at this hotel many moons ago and I thought at the time that what was on offer in terms of quality and service was up their with the best that a 3 star establishment could offer. So now, with a family of four that includes two young boys, I was on the website and again liked what I... More

The hotel has a tired and old look and feel. The rooms were clean but the mattress needs replacing. The shower curtain should be replaced by a glass screen as the entire floor was flooded after my shower. Breakfast was nothing to wright about. It was difficult to compare 3 star accommodation in South Africa with similar establishments in Europe... More

We agree with the previous reviewer about the "tired"-ness of the hotel. Although the hotel was very quiet, we were not offered a renovated room - the one we had was clean but I think all the fittings were the same as when we stayed in the (then) Holiday Inn some 30 years ago. Breakfast was very ordinary: the hot... More

The view is breathtaking, which is the primary reason to stay here. The walk down the cliff to the beautiful, wild beach is an invigourating hike; you could stay there all day, it is that mesmerizing. The hotel was undergoing much needed renovation during our stay; the good news is that the renovated rooms are first class all the way,... More

Staff very pleasant, room was clean. The place had a tired feeling about it, its old and needs updating. We were there for valentines night, we ate in the restaurant and although that appeared tired too the food was amazing, we had the set menu and it was very cheap and definitely great value for money. Service in the hotel... More
