We spent one night in a private room of the old farmhouse. The house is beautiful and nicely kept up with a communal kitchen and shared bathrooms. Our room was huge with high ceilings and nice clean linens. The bed wasn't very comfortable but for such a good price I don't expect everything to be perfect! The employees were super... More

Fairy Knowe classifies itself a s a backpackers resort but really caters for everyone. We found the place charming, yes somethings could do with a little improvement but remember you get what you pay for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was an ensuite and perfect for our needs. Breakfast was great; plenty of fruit and yogurt along... More

Wilderness and the region is very beautiful and worth visiting. The bar and the fireplace is nice, but the room we rented was very dirty, stinking and very overpriced. It looked like it hasnt been cleaned in years. We were happy to leave here!!

We stayed for four lovely nights in this great backpackers. We really appreciated the Hostel owner's tips for daytrips. Wilderness is full of activities! Beach and ocean, lakes and mountains, horse trails, paragliding and more. We couldn't do everything but would really recommend this place for every age. If you're looking for a vibey place to get to know new... More

We phoned and booked a double with shared bathroom a day before, due to the positive reports on TripAdvisor. We arrived excited, walked into reception where a staff member confirmed the booking and asked for payment, we asked to see the room first. We confirmed a double room with shared bathroom. She walked us up the hill to the top... More

Basic private rooms and dorms in a couple of houses. Large grounds for camping and playing including volleyball, darts, and pool table. Decent chill bar with people in guitar and drums at leisure. Clean and decent bathrooms and kitchen. Owner knows the area well and has all your and activity info.

After arriving in Wilderness at the Fairy knowe backpackers lodge we were given a talk about the backpackers and some of the activities that they had to offer. If we needed any help with booking or anything we could always ask. The property is quite big so there is lots of space to camp. The bar area looks very inviting... More

We only stayed one night here but liked being tucked away in the hills. The receptionists were helpful and we were shown to our dorm. The dorm was bunk beds and pretty standard for backpackers with shower and kitchen to use. We were recommended activities to do such as kayaking and hose riding.

So after 3 weeks we went back again for another weekend away. We had a larger room looking over the lagoon. Everything was clean and fresh. The staff was helpful at all times and even helped us with our booking for horseback riding. As first time riders we were very nervous, but put at ease swiftly. We took the 3hour... More
