Firstly the positives: The Hotel is right on the beach, the views and the sound of the waves to send you to sleep was lovely. Breakfast was simple but fresh and plentiful, including the continental. The rooms were of a good size with plenty of room and cupboard space. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Negatives: We arrived after a... More

We stayed at the Pink Lodge on the Beach for 1 night on March 9th as part of our trip along the Garden Route. I had pre-booked it because of the location and website photos but those photos dont do the place justice. We had a little bit of trouble finding the Lodge as I missed the signpost for the... More

Awesome location with breathtaking views and access to the beach. Big rooms with natural light and large open common areas. Some finishes may seem dated but the property itself is a stately old lady and too modern finishes will detract from atmosphere.

My wife and I had the good fortune of spending 4 glorious days (and nights) at the Pink Lodge and we couldn't have asked for more. If you are looking for a place that is right next to the beach, then you need look no further. At night, the sound of breaking waves is just too awesome. While having a... More

We loved the place, the people who welcomed us and were astonished by the location, literally on the beach. We would have appreciated quietter mornings though, as there is music playing from around 8.00.

The Pink Lodge has a fantastic position right on the Indian Ocean with each room having a wonderful view of the beach (usually deserted!). Even the breakfast tables are orientated to give you a sea view! Can't wait to go back

we did not really feel well in somewhat overstuffed surroundings without any personal touch, very old furniture. odd seating in the breakfast room, very small and windowless bathroom, neglected sunchair covers, but a very nice garden atop the beach

We booked for 7 nights and the first night we had to spent in a room (Seagull), which looked like the basement: humid, dirty and lots of mold. After we complained, it was suddenly possible to change the room (Dolpin), which was better. This Lodge is certainly NOT 4 stars. We do not recommend it to stay in this lodge.... More

When it comes to location it doesn’t get much better than this. The views from all areas of the house are sublime with direct access to the beach. Staff are exceptionally friendly and as we were a big group – taking up 7 rooms – it felt like home. Tessa was very accommodating giving us access to their kitchen and... More
