Every year in April our whole family gather from all over the country to visit this magnificent resort. This year was just as amazing as always and I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who keep up this impeccable standard. We enjoyed the breathtaking views at sunset, the hiking trails, canoeing and horses but my... More

We had a good break and enjoyed our stay. The resorts gardens and views are beautiful. The winter sheets on the bed were very cosy. The chalet did however smell rather musty/damp and the floors could have done with a good wash. Internet connectivity can be a problem. We did two hikes from Garden Castle but feel the routes could... More

We had a upper level two bedroom thatch roof apartment with a beautiful view of the mountains close by. Rainy weather and overcast just about all the time which can be normal for the Berg at this time of the year, hence the advantage of the apartments which had their weber braai's under the patio roof. The chalets have their... More

Beautiful views among the mountains. Was really looking forward to a break in the berg... but was disappointed. After a long journey to get there and being very tired just wanted to check in have a hot bath and something to eat. But when i enquired on how we could go about booking for dinner i was rudely told that... More

A most spectacular and amazing resort, warm and cozy cabins with serene dams for trout fishing or just sitting with a good book and a cup of coffee, tranquil and peaceful and very private chalets with fireplaces and our family cabin had its own jacuzzi, enjoyed the facilities and hike and the horse riding was an experience not to be... Great resort. My husband enjoyed the fly fishing - the dams are stocked regularly. Accommodation was more than comfortable. But the setting is the best of all - we went in Autumn and the colours were just stunning. Lots of things and activities for kids as well.

A picturesque destination, ideal for rest and relaxation! Beautiful mini lakes and 1 massive lake all stocked with trout. Units are well maintained with fireplace and braai (barbecue) facilities. The staff are quite helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant has a limited menu but a spectacular view of the Drakensberg mountains.

Upon arrival we were very well received with either a cool fruit juice or sherry and the formalities were processed efficiently and in a friendly manner. The chalet was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Without asking a member of the staff arrived at the chalet and assisted us unpacking our vehicle. The Manageress arrived shortly thereafter to enquire whether everything... More

My husband and I spent a few days at the resort. It was perfect. The clean fresh air, the mountains, the quiet nature. The villa was serviced daily and was very clean. We went horseback riding and enjoyed our stay here. The villa was quite large. There was a jacuzzi which was filled when we arrived, however the water was... More
