“Lovely weekend get-away”

Spent one night as a couple at the Umbrella Tree House in Umhlanga. The owner Lesley, was a wonderful dynamic host and personally cooked the breakfasts. Room was very comfortable with Satellite television and a balcony with lovely sea views. “Umhlanga Ridge B7B”

Comfortable and pleasant rooms opening onto a balcony and lovely views over Umhlanga Rocks and the sea beyond. A short drive down to the beach and shorefront promenades. The hosts are friendly and efficient. Price includes a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and good coffee!

I recently attended a conference in Umhlanga and stayed overnight at Umbrella tree. What a treat. I was just sorry the visit was so short . Lesley as very friendly and had a delicious brekkie. The view from the rooms was amazing with a lovely sunrise. Close to all needs. Even managed a walk along the promenade. Must visit again.... More

“Our overnight stay at Umbrella Tree House”

We enjoyed our stay at Umbrella Tree House, because we were welcomed and shown our room in a friendly and personal way. The room was neat, clean and cozy. The bedding was grand. We liked the balcony, to watch the sunrise and the lovely breakfast on the deck. We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely experience. Thanks!

A wonderful retreat into the suburbs of Umhlanga Rocks, Durban, SA Exceptional service: being personally looked after by the owner, always a recipe for success! “Very good for a short stay”

The service and host were very nice and the breakfast very furnished. Very good accomodation for a few days. Just the size of the room a bit too small for a long stay. The location is perfect if you have a car.

We had a pleasant stay at Umbrella Tree House. The view from the bedrooms are stunning and having the option of taking all three rooms and having a self catering unit was fantastic for our holiday. The only complaints we had were that the wi-fi only worked when hanging over the balconies in the rooms as the signal strength did... More

Thanks for taking the time to do a review - very happy to hear you had a pleasant stay. Apologies for the Wi-Fi. We have tried moving the router and booster around to improve the signal which seems to have worked. It also depends on the device being used. Some guests had no problem with the signal while others did... More

A beautiful garden setting. The rooms are modern with great finishes. There is a view of the ocean and a pool. Wi-Fi is available. It is located close to the nightlife Umhlanga offers.Much better than an impersonal hotel room.
