The Sands has just undergone an upgrade to the rooms are the results are great. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a fridge and microwave. The view is excellent overlookiing the lovely Indian Ocean. Umhlanga is really serene and a great getaway. The beach is nice (not as good as Durban) but all in all a wonderful holiday. more

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday by the beach there is no better place in South Africa. I live in South Africa and have been all over, Cape Town, Durban, Knysna.
