As part of our rugby season tickets, we received 2 complimentary nights at the Sibaya Lodge. So we took advantage of the offer to watch our rugby team, the Lions play the Sharks in Durban. Check in was quick and easy, and we we were offered sea view rooms. Our room was great and had a wonderful view of the... More

Visited this establishment due to the fact my husband booked the Mangwanani Spa based at Sibaya Casino so we stayed over at the Lodge, I understand this lodge was built to accomodation "free nights" for winning gamblers, having stayed at the Sibaya Hotel previously one cannot compare the finishes and vast contrast of standards. Bathroom- spacious....but shower doors are wobbly... More

I had the displeasure of visiting this hotel over an August long weekend. I have stayed at many different hotels in the past and have experienced mention worthy fantastic service. This was the first time I actually felt the need to express the very very poor service and an utter non committal to any form of improvement. It almost seems... More

I travel a lot with work, so been to a lot of hotels and the reception staff here were the rudest I have ever met! Shocked at the lack of service when wifi would not work, after trying to tell us it was our devices, they let us sit in reception for over 2hrs waiting for IT to meet us,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is close to the King Shaka Zulu International Airport, but some distance from Durban City Center. The exterior of the building is modelled like a traditional Zulu homestead which makes it stand out. We only had dinner here once which was not very bad. The breakfasts were average at best. The rooms were... More

Stayed here on business for two nights. The rooms are spacious but they have a cold atmosphere. The rooms are very basic and so are the bathrooms. I think the hotel concentrates more on people for overnight stays due to the casino. They are not holiday orientated or have the luxuries of a business hotel. The air conditioners only blow... More

We stayed at the lodge overnight, paid R2,030.00 for a Three Star Casino lodge. We expected a clean, courteous and well manned facility (not 4 or 5 start) but we got one star service! First impressions last and the reception area is nothing like any casino hotel/lodge we have been to! It is very dull, looks old and could pass... More

In Durban I stayed at Sibaya Lodge. This is a wonderfull tourist attraction and a great spot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My favorie part is the swimming pool aera, it is a great place to relax on a nice hot day. The food looks nice and tasted nice. Service is very good. The rooms are big for... More

Shared a room with my friend, two double beds, TV, desk, safe and a nice size bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good although there was no soya milk and they knew I was vegan. Still had plenty to eat so was happy! Staff very pleasant.

We stayed in a family, sea facing room. The view was beautiful but the room is too small to accommodate 4 people, as advertised. There are only 2 mugs and 2 sets of things to make coffee. There is no bar fridge. There is a vending machine in the passage. Not sure this counts as 4 star accommodation. Breakfast was... More
