I wonder how some travelers had bad experiences in such a decent hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Excellent property with cheerful staff. Receptionists Phindile and Vella are amazing and always went that extra mile to help me. Ms. Gugu is also good at helping guests in the restaurant. Security outside the hotel can be a bothersome... This hotel has got the potential to be one of the best hotels in the country. Unfortunately no one seems to care enough to make it happen. The lovely wooden floors are covered by carpet, the blinds in the bathroom was broken, the breakfast is really shocking! To top it all off the suites are on a very busy road.... More

Had a business lunch in the hotel dining-room. Service was appalling! Waitress didn't know what was being served on the lunch buffet. I asked for curry and she said that beef curry was on the buffet. The business associate ordered his meal and I went to the buffet only to find that beef stew was served, not curry! Aside from... More

Old colonial-era hotel frequented by government officials on outings. Rooms spacious and in-room amenities fine. Location is not great as this is right in the centre of the city, so if you're after peace and quiet this is not the place. The room I had was on the parking side with a church in close proximity so there was 'singing... More

Dear Groenjean, Thank you for your feedback. Your comments have been shared with my Management TEAM and the perception of chasing you away was not the intention. Unfortunately the noise factor is beyond our control but we are happy to mention that not all our rooms face in that direction. Some of the rooms face away from the street where... More

Great old world style hotel ideal for the business traveler. Nice rooms with great shower and balcony. Easy to find from the Oribi airport - about 10 min drive. The food is above average for this class of hotel. The bar could do with some upgrade to create a bit more atmosphere, but the staff make up for what it... More
