Quite easy to find off the N2, with approximately 30km of dirt track driving. The lodge is modern and has magnificent views over the valley and Rhino reserve, from the main lodge balcony and some of the guest rooms. Unfortunately we had room number 5 which is the furthest from the main lodge and had no view. This was disappointing, We... More

Henry is an exceptional ranger. Each outing with him was awesome because his passion and love for his job is infectious. He taught us so much and his zest for knowledge unquenchable. We were even shown bark and wolf spiders with snippets of interesting information about them. We were so fortunate to see cheetah and lion cubs and loved seeing... More

This is our 3rd vist to Leopard Mountain and we just keep on going back!! Our favorite Lodge in the country! One would never expect such modern luxury in the bush. The cabins are well equiped with huge comfortable beds, walk in showers, private mini pool and a balcony with the most beautiful view. Our country is unique for its... More

My wife and I had the pleasurable task of hosting my sister and her husband from Scotland for a month long stay in South Africa. We visited several holiday venues on the KwaZulu Natal North and South coasts and also spent some interesting days doing the Durban sights. However, we were determined that they must have a real African bush... More

The lodge is situated at the top of a hill and overlooks a large part of the Zululand Rhino Reserve - beautiful sun rises! When we were there it was full moon as well and the moon rise was absolutely spectacular. The rooms are all furnished with extra large King size beds with lavish furnishings and showers that have a... More

My husband and I went to Leopard Mountain for the 1st leg of our Honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Our ranger Henry was phenomenal and his passion and extensive knowledge for the outdoors really shone through with each and every drive. We had a short time with Ivor who took us on an exciting... Superior setting, staff, guides & accommodations. Henry Tarr was an exceptional guide full of knowledge of the various flora and fauna on the reserve. Loved our chalet!!! The managers there---Ivor & Melissa were precious and the owners were humble and gracious. I plan on a return trip. Thanks Leopard Mountain Lodge for a spectacular experience. I miss you all!!

This was our first visit to the Zululand Rhino Reserve and Leopard Mountain game lodge and my husband's siblings' first visit to South Africa. We chose LM because of the excellent reviews it received here on TA. The setting for the lodge is spectacular! The rooms were simply gorgeous, very private and luxurious. The staff were knowledgeable, efficient and friendly.... More

We spent weeks trying to decide which game lodge to stay at, because Safari was the biggest event of the holiday, and we could not have made a better choice. Leopard mountain has the wow factor in every detail - bedrooms, plunge pool, dining area, evening boma with four-course meal, and most importantly the game drives. The rangers really know... More

our recent visit to Leopard Mountain was an experience of what can be achieved if management and staff get on well with each other . The comraderie was evident and created a family feeling and ambiance which carried through from the lodge itself to the game drives . The game drives we experienced with Ivor were professional and catered for... More
