Just like nearly everyone else, my husband and I went on this trip after buying it at a charity auction. I read a jillion TripAdvisor reviews before going and felt like the safari could be anywhere from the-trip-of-a-lifetime to a-cheesy-zoo-disguised-as-a-safari. Unsure of what to truly expect, I went in with no expectations and an open mind. We spent 4 nights... More

We went to Zulu Nyala as part of our honeymoon last fall, and had an amazing time. Like most people, our trip was won at a charity auction (we received the trip as a wedding gift from the auction winner): this is their main form of marketing in the US. The reservation process was relatively straight-forward, and mostly conducted over... More

Like arguably everyone reading these reviews, my husband and I bought our trip at an auction and travelled from the US. Zulu Nyala did not disappoint and I agree with almost all of the other reviewers on here. The resort is very nice, four star. And the rooms are more than likely allocated based on the price paid at the... More

This is a fantastic 5 star hotel with great accommodation, fantastic wildlife and delicious food. The game drives are really fun and you get to see so many great animals, I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a good bush experience. Comfortable, stylish and immaculate.

What a beaut! When my husband and I arrived for our 2nd year anniversary, we were greeted with a smile and our room was upgraded to the luxurious new tents without adding a cent! As for the game, we had quite an experience in the presence of a female cheetah, kudus, impalas, large reptiles, giraffes, zebras and elephants, just to... More

We bid on and won this trip at an charitable auction. When you get there you will realize that everyone there did the same thing and the majority of their clients are American. The exception being the 1-2 day travel groups on buses from Europe that stay at the lower lodge. If given the option I would stay at the... More

We visited Heritage Safari Lodge in October, we had an excellent time. We really got up close and personal with the game. One thing to know is your guide is very important because you go out on safari at least once a day, sometimes twice. Evidently we were there at a very busy time of year so they assigned us... More

It is a definite reality that most people never consider the terrain that much when taking distant holidays.....well I speak for me and other City Dwellers. Off the N2 followed the signage to Zulu Nyala Heritage Safari Lodge for 5.2km drive on a dead road. Luckily this time I took an off road so there was no hurdle. The reception... More

Like most guests, we won the safari thru a charity auction. When we originally booked the reservation they said they only had 5 nights availabe, when we confirmed our reservation the day prior to departure, they said they had us reserved for 6 nights, which we thought, ok, that would be fine. On the fouth day, our enthusiastic ranger, Deon... More

Okay, this is going to be lengthy because I am nothing if not thorough! :) We stayed here in September for 6 days and nights (we bought the trip at a charity auction, like most of the other guests) At this property, the Heritage Lodge, there are motel-like rooms and then there are tents cabins. At the Game Lodge, (which... More
