We booked online and thankfully only paid for the first night. The room was smaller than imagined, hardly any room with the beds, and the carpet had a musty smell. Bathrooms in need of refurbishment to meet modern standards. TV channels limited, but linen was cleaning and the view on the 5th floor was okay, facing the road but hardly... More

I stayed at this hotel during the Christmas break for four nights with my family. The hotel lobby may be the only nice thing about this hotel. I have made a list of reasons why I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. 1. If you want ice, you have to take a jug out of your room, leave the... More

I had much more expectations from this hotel by looking at rooms. But it was not the case at all.. 1. There were many cracks on tub bath. 2. Phone inside the room was not working at all. U need to go to reception if you need anything. 3. Few things were missing already ( Towels , soap etc. )... More

A Great new look to the hotel entrance and lobby area, with the combination of friendly staff and a pleasant environment created the perfect holiday. the room has been well maintained and cleaning staff do a great job. There is a lovely variety at breakfast with something different everyday. If I'm in Durban I will defiantly stay at Albany

Although the hotel was pretty much as advertised via the web, there were a few niggles and three very telling episodes to highlight some exceptions: We checked in on a Sunday as we had a gala event to attend, but the hotel had no iron or ironing service for us to prepare our outfits and when we demanded an iron,... We had to put up friends at the last minute during the busy tourism indaba in Durban and found this place had rooms at the last minute. Think due to location it is avoided but service was great and the room was quite big-had like a double and single bed so we could have put in three people if we... More
