What a beautiful, yet simplistic room. Comfortable bed, clean and the view was to die for. The food was excellent. Loved the pool. Staff were helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay I would highly recommend the Riverside Hotel for business or pleasure.

Stayed here 1 night, presenting at a seminar there in the conference facility. We arrived as a large group late at night, but reception dealt with us quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and of reasonable size. There was free wifi which was easy to log on to and worked well. The room also has a small kitchen area... More

A very relaxed destination to help you enjoy your time spent in Durban. The Hotel boasts a variety of activities for one to engage in from the Health & Beauty Spa to the neighbouring recreational facilities. I was pretty much impressed with the service received and friendly staff which did not hesitate one bit to assist me in any way.... More

my wife and i stayed at the hotel this past weekend.firstly service received on arrival was poor, the guys at reception were all over the place and not very welcoming. 2nd-the day before we arrived we have called in to request one of the newer rooms & we were told that it is possible and we will be allocated, however... Booking via the internet is cheaper than direct. At the reception we requested a room on the fifth floor- as recommended by a reviewer. There we were heading to the top floor of the building- the third level. But, technically we were at the 5th floor as the lower two take you to the restaurant and pool deck levels. Our... More

We didn't stay at this hotel. We just arrived from the airport and the shuttle driver had been very rude to us. He dropped us on the wrong hotel. It started to get dark when streets become more dangerous. Nothando is a trainee who was at the reception. She first gave us directions to go to our hotel, then she... More

We spent last week at this hotel due renovations at home.It was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. The staff were accommodating, however they could have kept the room cleaner! Nevertheless the location is excellent and good security. We had good value for the fees they charged.

Stayed in at the hotel on July, the food, rooms and service was terrible. To make issues worse I lost my bags at the reception and the assistance we got was terrible until we had to go to police. The attitudes is just bad ,no proper customer care from staff. The hotel like any business need to have a certain culture and... More

The Riverside hotel has a charming oldy world feeling but with the refurbishments of the rooms it is completely modern. The views from some of the rooms over Durban are breathtaking. The staff are very friendly. The hotel should spend a bit of time training their restaurant staff on the use of the very fancy cappuccino machine. Trying to wait... More

Stayed here for a night while on business in Durban. Manager Mr Solomon was at reception when we were checking in so we were warmly welcomed. The room allocated was fairly basic but the view was lovely. Bathroom was basic with old style bath tub with built in shower head. Small kitchenette but comfortable enough for a short stay. Breakfast... More
