The view from the 15th floor was superb, overlooking the ocean and promenade. The staff were exceptionally friendly from reception, bar, restaurant to cleaners. There was a lovely atmosphere within the hotel as well in that guests greeted each other in the elevator. The location was fantastic with the promenade straight outside the front door. Parking is limited but guests... More

I really had a good holiday break at blue waters. Rooms were clean , food tasty and staff were lovely. Its within walking distance to shopping mall, sea side, moses mabidha stadium and other attractions. Oh oh oh not forgeting that the price was a reasonable one.

The hotel is located near the Casino and Ushaka! The internet was slow in our room but I was informed that their server was being fixed. The breakfast buffet was great! Its best to go early in the morning to avoid the queue!

Awesome location right in front of beach. Great buffet breakfast, humble staff from door keeper till the reception. Car parking should have been complimentary, but we had to pay separately R50 per day. WI-FI was too slow and reception informed that server was being fixed. Overall very positive. I will come back again. Hotel is 5 mind walking distance to... More

Hotel is located quite central, general staff were very friendly and assisted is with any requests. The reception however is run by condescending young adults who made us feel like peasants for enquiring about extending our stay, so we rather left as planned and did not extend our stay. Besides the reception the overall stay was excellent.

I stayed here with my wife. Admittedly there were some problems that were beyond the hotel staff's control but the fact that we ended up having to move rooms three times and cut our stay short is testament to the poor standard that this hotel has fallen to. The dated layout of the hotel means that there is no peace,... More

This is an old hotel but the rooms have been renovated and have everything you need including a safe, fridge, kettle, shower (no bath), TV and small balcony with sea view. There is supposed to be free wifi but it was intermittent and not working some of the time while I was there. The hotel is situated on the north... More

I stayed at the Blue Waters for two nights to present a course in one of their conference rooms. My room on the 15th floor was small but adequate, with a balcony looking out across the bay. The queen size bed was comfortable. The small desk and an arm chair took up most of the floor space, so this was... More

We flew to Durban in August this year to embark on our honeymoon in South Africa. Our first hotel was Blue Waters. The room was very clean and comfortable with a massive king size bed and a balcony overlooking the sea!! The room was also quiet and came with everything you might need i.e tv etc. Downstairs they have a... More
