We needed to stay in Durban for one night and booked into Acorn B&B. What a lovely place - great location, but nicely tucked away in a quiet corner. The room was great - all facilities very good - tea and coffee making in our room, DSTV, air con etc. We had plans to go out in the evening, but... More

This B&B is very conveniently situated, out of the city centre but close enough to the ICC. The room was very comfortable, with good attention to detail, and host Don went 'beyond the call of duty'. Security was good.

We used Acorn B&B as a base for attending a concert at the ICC. We only had 3,25 km to travel to the venue and which was convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with whimsical touches (my twin beds had toy monkeys on them) and attention to detail (there were neat little scissors for opening the tea and... More

The Acorn BnB is a home away from home. Located in the most convenient spot in Durban, it delivers in every way imaginable. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean, with great, comfortable beds. The decor is quirky and classy, just like the people who run it - Don and Barbara. You are always given the impression that nothing... More

This review is a bit boring, as we are just other really satisfied guests of the Acorn B&B in Durban. The room (the one next to the pool) was really nice, styled in a tasteful African zebra theme, with a huge bed and a large shower. We slept like babys in the classy bed linen and the breakfast was top-notch... More

The B&B is very well taken care off. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The breakfast was marvellous considering that it was vegetarian. Don, owner, is very welcoming and great host complemented by his wonderful wife and staff.

I've stayed at many B&B's in Durban and Acorn is definitely my favorite. It's a beautiful venue close to great restaurants. The rooms are huge, clean and very comfortable. Don is a character and is a breath of fresh air. He goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. I would highly recommend this place!
