I travel to Durban frequently for work and happened upon Acorn B&B online last year and gave it a try. Since that first night, I've referred visitors from overseas and have booked in with several colleagues when work required. The reasons I continue to come back to Acorn are many - firstly the owner (Don) is almost always on the... More

Great long stay at Acorn B&B. Very hospitable host in Don who is helpful and attentive. Really enjoyed my stay and can happily recommend it to anyone visiting Durban - be it short or longer. Centrally located in the heart of Morningside.

From all the b&b's and hotels I have stayed in, this was definitely the best! The place feels very homy and the owner is very friendly. They helped me with all kinds of stuff outside the b&b as well. It was very nice to feel so at home, even though so far away from home. I would recommend this place... More

Acorn B&B in Durban is a lovely place to stay for a short or long trip. It's well located, near shopping and entertainment facilities; and just a short drive to the central business district. The manager, Don is attentive and highly supportive. He makes us feel at home each time we visit. The staff there are also charming and very... More

Don is a gracious and charming host. And funny! I appreciated the extra attention to quality (of for example the linen and the training of staff), as well as the care and the kindness. I felt welcome even before I arrived.

Hi Pat We at Acorn B&B love having guests who only want to stay in Club Duvet as it is so comfy and inviting. I try to make this one of my chief concerns as I want my guests to return just to enjoy the luxury of the beds and linen. The beds are waiting for your return! More

This is an old house, turned into an B&B. I was welcomed at the gate and although my booking was not confirmed the owner made a plan and give me accommodation for the night. He a real warm host and enjoyed every minutes and stayed in the B&B

I loved staying at this B&B. Don, the owner, was great - funny, kind and extremely attentive. The place was very well decorated and you could tell the owners really put their personal care and love into the place. The rooms were small, but the courtyard and garden provided ample room to stretch your legs. The B&B had a homey... More
