We have just experienced three fabulous nights at Duma Manzi. There is nothing better than waking up to the song of the river and the beautiful bird calls. The rooms are amazing and the beds and pillows are super comfy. The staff are efficient and attentive and couldnt do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. The food was... More

The lodge is nestled unobtrusively within the lush landscape at the bottom of the valley alongside the picturesque Umkomaas River. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown around. However I was surprised to learn that the “manager” was one of the therapists. The public areas could do with a spring clean and the décor is out dated. Our room... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Duma Manzi. The location is stunning and the lodge is beautiful, but we got an overall feeling of neglect at the lodge. The beds and bathrooms are very clean, but the room looked like it could do with a good spring clean. The sitting room at the main lodge was dusty and full of... More

It was our 11th Wedding Anniversary and we decided to do something special. We had heard many good things about this property but nothing prepared us for this slice of paradise.Driving down on a winding narrow dirt road, said to be part of the old Voortrekker road to Cape Town, the mundane was left behind and all that is great... We had the honour of spending two nights in this private paradise. We were the only guests and the staff were so warm and welcoming, they made us feel as if it were our own home. The 45 minute drive down from the reception lodge is stunningly beautiful, offering some amazing views of the valley where the lodge is located.... More

The Duma Manzi is a very special eco-reserve. You must advise them of your approximate arrival time and on arrival phone to say you are there. After a ten minute wait a jeep arrives and you are led to the first reception where you leave your car and are driven by the jeep for 20 minutes, down, down, into a... More

We spent the day at Duma Manzi and it was an amazing day. We booked the spa day packages and were met at the gate on time and were taken on the game drive down to the lodge. There are no dangerous animal but there are plenty of other animals, giraffe, buck, etc to keep you entertained. Met at the... More

We spent the day at Duma Manzi. Just as we embarked on the game vehicle 5 very curious buffalo were the first to greet us, was lovely see them so close up and personal. The welcome at the African lodge by the staff was warm and friendly. Started our day to a superb brunch overlooking a spectacular river before enjoying... More

Our Duma Manzi experience was amazing. The staff are friendly, engaging and helpful. The Spa is excellent, with a broad range of treatments to choose from. There’s no 'dangerous’ animals around the lodge, its great been able to walk amongst wildlife - Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Impala, Kudu and others.

We had our wedding at Duma Manzi this month and it was spectacular. We researched for months before deciding on the venue and it was honestly better than I could have hoped for. It is a beautiful private game reserve close enough to the city to be convenient but far enough away to see stars and feel like you are... More
