Having looked at what was on offer on the Durban Beachfront Hotels I was disappointed and started looking at B&B establishments. Luckily we picked St.Annes and we were not disappointed. Great location and very close to Royal Durban if you are a golfer and some good restaurants near by. Caroline and Leal were excellent hosts and the staff very accommodating... More

This place has charm and elegance, is in a great location, and has wonderful hosts. It is safe and comfortable. The garden and the pool are lovely. Breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend staying here.

I have visited St. Annes on multiple occasions and stayed anywhere from two days to a few weeks at a time. I travel extensively for work. This is my single favorite place to visit, so much so that I have often arrived the weekend before a planned trip to relax and work out on the veranda. Caroline and Leal are... More

Caroline has created a fantastic place in one of the residential suburb of Florida. The guest house has wonderful gardens where you can relax in. The rooms were magnificent - large, wonderfully decorated and comfortable. The bathroom seemed as large as our room. Although we were here during the world cup semi finals, we did not have any problems with... More

Stayed for 4 nights during the World Cup. Caroline and the Leal were the kindest and most helpful hosts we met during our 3 weeks in SA. The Guesthouse is in a beautiful colonial home in a secluded compound high on the Berea in Durban. It's a tranquil and secure oasis, but still only a short drive from all of... More

Stayed during the world cup. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent location- very near bars/restos of florida road. Best part was the service- owners were really friendly. Felt very much at home. They were kind enough to drop us off at the stadium and even couriered a football helmet we had accidently left behind to our next hotel in Cape Town -... More

We chose St Annes from the Portfolio Guide. We were not diappointed. Caroline and her staff made us feel very at home, and our room was most comfortable, and breakfast very tastey. The setting and ambience at St Annes is most relaxing, and although we stayed only two nights it was a perfect base for a short visit to Durban.... More

We spent 3 excellent nights in St Annes Guest House, Durban from 27-30 Dec 2009. Caroline and Leal (the proprietors) could not have been more welcoming and helpful - Leal even drove down to collect 2 stranded ladies from the 2nd cricket test match, way beyond the call of duty! The house is beautiful (Caroline is an interior decorator and... More

The room was lovely, the hosts were probably the most helpful and pleasant that we have ever stayed with. It was made to feel like a real home from home. Made us very welcome and booked us a fantastic restauraunt at very late notice on Christmas eve!
