My first inclination that we were in trouble was the yellow caution tape wrapped around the stairway and a portion of the first floor near the check-in desk. The room we were given was very dirty. The tub was so nasty we didn't even get to shower. We complained about this problem & was told by the desk-clerk that someone would be down to look at it. This was our 5th stop on our Route 66 experience in June - the exterior of the hotel was was well kept, grounds and the pool were immaculate. Basic motel room. Clean but a bit musty smell. It was cheap and we did get a small free breakfast. If you want a cheap motel go for it but do not expect luxury!! Reception staff very friendly. more
