The room was spotless, well-maintained, and charming. Great redo of an older property. Bed was comfortable. Be careful when driving around the parking lot. The tall pines are beautiful and give the place much of its charm, but can be a bit of a hazard, especially when backing up. I'm glad the management has kept them, though. The restaurant has pretty good hours for lunch and dinner, surprising in this Covid world in this remote a place. If it's warm enough, be sure to sit outside in the pines. Yes, there are some flies, but that's what happens at outdoor places, especially after such a wet summer. Food was good. Be sure to do some hiking at the adjoining Hualapi Mountain Park--beautiful trails.

Drove out to the resort hoping they had an opening and see what it was like. I had read about the elk that hung around the area and had to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice resort with an available room which was spotless clean and comfortable. We were there on a weekday but it was very quiet and so peaceful. I was pleased to see some elk first think in the morning in the area. Such a great stay here. Very nice area and accommodations!

Food was terrible and the dining room was FULL of flies! Our Prime Rib had an odd flavor and the salad was old and limp. The only good part of our meal was the baked potato. Because it was Father’s Day it was extremely busy so the service was poor. What happened? It used to be so good!

Our group camped up the street. Several stayed here. Awesome place. Rooms spotless and cozy. Very rustic. We all met for dinner. Everyone ordered something different. Everything was perfect. Server worked his butt off. All the plates were warm and very tasty. Prime rib was one of the best I’ve ever had. Fish was fresh. Well worth a drive.

The service was extremely slow. Our waitress was MIA most of the time. Forgot the appetizer we ordered. The waitress waiting on the next table came over and asked if she could get us anything we told her our appetizer. She apologized but they are very busy. The other waitress brought us the appetizer which was lukewarm at best. Then when we finally got our dinner - I ordered the fish fry (the waitress said it was cod) not only was it barely lukewarm it wasn't cod fish at all. The fries were cold and the coleslaw tasted horrible. My husband ordered a ribeye steak his food was cold and he compared his steak to what you get at a Ponderosa or Bonanza Steakhouse but much more expensive. The other couple dining with us said their food was cold too. Her meatloaf was burnt and the potatoes and carrots were cold. He ordered prime rib and it was also cold. No waitress to see how our meal was or if we needed anything else. OK they were busy but that is no excuse for cold food! Never again - very disappointed!

We went for our 57th Anniversary. They failed in every way & we have been many times. It used to be so good. The Margaritas were so sour we could not drink them & we don't believe there was any Tequila in them. The bread was cold, the soup was cold, the ribs had little meat & were barely warm. We left most of the food & drinks & unless they do something for us, we will never go back. We live only a few miles away. Ribs used to be hot & fall of the bone tender & meaty. We left still hungry. I posed on their FB Page & they removed it. Underhanded if you ask me.

We had such a lovely time on our overnighter at Hualapai. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our room #5 was appointed well, with everything we needed. It had a cabin feel to it, lots of knotty pine and laser metal cut pine trees with elk wall hangings, very cute. The layout gave us plenty of space, living room, pantry sink bathroom area, settee for 2 and nightstands. The only bad feature of the room was the size of the bed, I believe it’s deemed a queen but it felt more like a double, which was cramped for 2 medium sized adults. A breakfast basket was there for us, with a perfect assortment of juice, muffin, fruit cup and trail mix. We sat outside in the chairs outside on the porch and we had parked right up front (so loading and unloading was great, few stairs) as we relaxed with cocktails we watched the large deer(elk) grazing about, must have been about 8 within view, quite fun. We then dined at the restaurant, inside by the fireplace. The prime rib, baked potato, veggies and salads were all good, wine list was small but doable and everything was very fairly priced. Honestly we had a very memorable night here on our road trip to the Grand Canyon, it’s a lovely find and almost didn’t want to review it, so it could be a great secret gem. A shout out to Kayla our server and Cory the manager who both did a terrific job, especially in the time of COVID😷🙄

It's was by accident that we found this place. Went there for a bite to eat, as a local business owner had told wife and me about the good food here. It's up in the mountains in the Kingman area, and a few areas of the climb up are fairly steep, but all roads to the resort are well paved. Resort is in a wooded area. Restaurant is a neat area, has outside seating (dog friendly!) nice bar inside and a beautiful rustic huge dining area inside. Appetizers were good, breakfast was great! The area and ambiance caused us to cancel our room down in Kingman and stay here for the night. Rooms are clean, spacious, and rustic, which I think is great. Staff is friendly; and one surprise is that there are elk that travel thru the resort and are not really afraid of humans. Will definitely come back here again!

This is a great little resort -- wonderful to be up in the mountains with beautiful trees and very quite. Great road up to the mountain, saw deer and just wonderful mountain peeks. Breakfast was great and the staff extremely friendly and fast to service a group of 26.
