My family, two adults and two teens booked a room in this motel months in advance for our roadtrip. We didn't know what to espect but our choice was mostly based on the pictures thatt showed it was different, colorful, had abit of history and the price seemed reasonable. We loved it! Sure it was no luxury, but it was... More

This is a one at best in winter because it is virtually uninhabitable. They should not rent rooms in the winter unless they provide an extra heater for the bathrooms or leave the heat on in the rooms all the time. In the summer it might be a 2 or 3. It was probably 45 degrees or so in the... More

This was a wonderful stay. We were in the Marilyn Monroe room. You can tell it's an older motel, and that is part of it's charm. The owners are absolutely wonderful and you receive a full history of Kingman. I will definitely stay here again!

Such a fun place! We enjoyed our stay at El Trovatore Motel. The room was very spacious and we loved the vintage flair. If you like a hint of the old times and a very well informed owner, the El Trovatore Motel is your best choice. On our little excurs to the Route 66 and this motel was great fun.

Our room was surprisingly large and tastefully decorated, with lots of closet space. The bathroom fixtures appeared to be original (it was built in 1937), with a very low sink and a good-sized shower. The location is a bit farther from I-40 than some of the newer motels, but only by a minute or two. The hosts are delightful, very... More

I read reviews on a lot of places to stay before choosing this one. I chose it mostly because of the decor I wont lie. I know that a lot people had not so nice tings to say, but that is not the case for me. We LOVE the place, yes the rooms are pretty small, but I prefer it.... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to Palm Springs. I chose it because it was depicted as a retro motel. We were not disappointed. Great neon sign and outdoor decor. The rooms were ok--not bad for the price. The only fault I found is that I did not find an electrical outlet in the bathroom in our... More

All the heaters on the double rooms shorted out both nights - everyone was so cold. The maintenance man was in our room no less than 6 times during the night, trying to repair the heater. He was so polite, but the owners never once acknowledged the nightmare of NO HEAT in these rooms on December nights in the teens-20's!... More

All the reviews that talk about how helpful the owners are -- VERY true. We've never felt so welcomed and so well informed; there's a lot of good interesting trivia about this place. And as we were checking in, Monica came rushing into the lobby to alert us "The sunset is lighting up the butte!" It's a 45-second wonder right... More

After reading the reviews, we expected a better experience. Yes, we knew it was an old building, but... Even after locking both locks, I think I could have easily opened the door to the room. There was also a gap under the door, so I put some dirty laundry down to try to keep the cold air freshener m coming... More
