Stayed 4 nights. Like going back in time only a big tv and fridge and microwave have travelled with you. If you want friendly personal treatment, then look no further. Sam and his beautiful wife treat you like family, the motel is in a very good location away from noise and close to a good stake house/bar and a very... More

This place is a gem! The accommodations, which give you a little taste of history, were great but you get so much more... The owners went out of their way to welcome us and provide an incredible wealth of information about the area's history, local attractions, people to know about, best restaurant options, best travel routes....and more. They have done... More

A refreshing change of pace from old ugly motels or chains. If you have a sense of history or a sense of humor, you are going to love this place. The proprietors are nearly like family only better. They have a great sense of history and why it's important and fun to revive the past for the new generations to... More

Lovely quirky original route 66 motel. The people who own this motel are lovely so friendly and helpful. They have so much to tell you about the motel, Kingman and route 66. We only stayed one night but would have liked to have stayed longer. Far better than staying in the many chain hotels. Would certainly stay again.

Under no circumstances stay here!! Having read great things about this appalling place both in a guide book and on this website, my dad and I were looking forward to staying here. This was hotel number ten or so of our Route 66 adventure which had begun in Chicago and, whilst we hadn't booked in advance, we hadn't done in... More

We only stayed for one night, but wow, what an experience. Mine host Sam and his wife were very hospitible. Spoke about the town and the hostory of the motel. As we were in AZ in the off-season, we had a choice od rooms. My wife and I chose the James Dean room and other couple chose the Marilyn Monroe... More

The El Trovatore Motel is a step back in time to when Route 66 was the only way to travel. The owners are very helpful and will see to any need you have. We were late arrivals and they were so sweet to spend time giving us maps and a historical overview of Kingman and surrounding areas. We stayed in... More

On arrival we were given so much information and ideas what to do and where to go. The owners were more then helpful. The Motel is an authentic Route 66 motel, original and lovelingly restored The rooms are smal by present day standards , but beautifully presented. We had a very pleasant stay . If you are looking for an... More

The rooms are themed, clean and nice. I was looking for a route 66 motel experience and I'm very happy about staying there. Very good located. The owner, wife and dog are very nice. We stayed there in our way from Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. Great value.

When making my Route 66 trip this year, El Trovatore was at the top of my list to visit. The owners do a great job making you feel welcome and give a great history lesson about the motel and Kingman. The property looks great and is a classic. If you want a stay with all the amenities, this isn't the... More
