The hotel is well located and convenient with the mall attached to it. The services were mediocre and keep informing them of your time of arrival time and time again to ensure that your room is ready. Though they wanted to charge an extra half day charge for a 2 hour later departure, they were unable to provide us with... More

Excellent location, generally good service and friendly ambience. The hotel has allready a few years, and that is evident in the rooms where carpets and furniture needs to be renewed. This hotel also needs a richer breakfast, little variety and juices should be much better. More

This time, it is Johannesburg. I stayed here in Jan 2012. I can say only one word about this hotel Äwesome, Grand, luxury at its best". I stayed last time in Michelangelo Towers and the same was before Soccer Tournament. This time, i was in Michelanglo Hotel near to Nelson Mandela Square. Breakfast is above average but not great. I... More

Very nice efficient hotel but just too overpowering, I do not need anyone to press the elevator button for me. Rooms very clean and functional plus if you face into Mandela Square very nice. Food was average but choice of fruit and juices was good. A bit overpriced for what you get and maybe just beginning to look its age More

60 min from gate to room assuming Gautrain in operation. Perfect location but very pricey for amenities. Could use overall in f/b and updating of rooms. Internet very slow. More

We stayed for two nights with a tour group. Room was comfortable with effective temperature control. Breakfast was good, if not spectacular. Location in Sandton is extremely convenient, just a block or two from the Gautrain station, offering rapid service direct to the airport. One feature of the hotel we especially appreciated was the "residents lounge." a place you could... More

On a recent two-week trip to South Africa, I had the chance to stay at the Michelangelo, which is well- located in Sandton at the Nelson Mandela Square. I eagerly anticipated my stay here since I had seen it from afar on prior visits to SAfrica and was curious about it. My more modern interior design tastes did not correspond... More

We were there only one night but had a great time. Used it as a stopover on our way to a safari. The good: room was in great condition. Fruit basket and wine waiting when we arrived. All staff were helpful. Great location with many stores and restaurants on mandela square. The not so good: nothing really. If anything the... More
