A great stay in lovely chalets overlooking the hippo pond. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Sundowners on the hill, breakfast by the fireplace and close encounters of the elephant kind made this a memorable stay.

We stayed for 2 nights for my nieces wedding. What a fantastic place wish I could have stayed longer. The food was good, staff were brilliant, the wedding was out of this world - who can say they got married with elephants as guests. We stayed in the Manor Cottage right next to the hippo pool & across from the... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of a trip and wished we could have stayed longer. It is a beautiful place, we have never experienced such peace and tranquillity. We booked a lodge room and were given the 'Cornwallace Harris' which has a private terrace/ decking overlooking a garden. The room was large with comfortable chairs, a large... More

My husband and I and two friends were here for lunch today. The venue is very pretty but the food was awful. The roast pork had no crackling, the potatoes and vegetables were cold as was the gravy. Our friends had chicken which was also cold. There was a very poor selection of starters and desserts and the ones we... More

We booked here on the recommendation of a friend who had attended a wedding here. Also a quick hour and a half drive away from Jhb airport. We stayed two nights in two of the Lodge suites. Lovely rooms, great views. Very friendly helpful staff. Good food in general and a wonderful buffet lunch on Sunday. Very reasonably priced as... More

I stayed at Glen Afric with my parents and my partner for four nights at the end of January at the start of a two week touring holiday to South Africa. We chose Glen Afric as it was recommended by friends that had visited and worked as volunteers on one of their international volunteer programmes. We booked two of their... More

I have not stayed here but I have visited three times, once in 2011 and twice recently. On my first visit I had lunch, took a driving tour round the property to see the various animals, walked around the Wild at Heart property [had never heard of the TV show] and interacted with the three elephants. The mother 'Three' has... More

We booked to stay here due to its close location to some friends we were visiting so travel time from pta or jnb wouldn't be an issue. As soon as you arrive if you watched Wild at Heart your memories of the show come flooding back and the set tour you can go on was also interesting. It's a shame... More

Elephant interaction is wonderful. Sunday buffets with elephant feeding is sublime. Great service from friendly staff members. Serene view from the deck. We have visited at least a dozen times, and will continue to do so.
