During my relocation to Pretoria I stayed at the Bay Tree Guest House for about two months. Its location is great for University of Pretoria and many embassies surrounding it, Gautrain bus stop is just around the corner and it is walking distance to Brooklyn Mall. Anything beyond that you'll definitely need a car. It is relatively close to the... More

Bay tree guest house is ideally situated. It is very close to the University of Pretoria where my daughter goes to. Renee was very helpful and we had a wonderful stay. The guest house is very close to every amenity (especially the beautiful malls). It is a lovely, clean and secure guest house. I would highly recommend it.

This was our second stay at this beautiful Guest House and once again we received a warm welcome from Renee and Fred to our " home away from home". Bay Tree offers luxury and very comfortable suites (each with large private en-suite bathroom). The Guest House provides every amenity and convenience one may wish for including free wifi in guest... We occupied room no 5 and no 8 as a family of 7 people. The rooms was clean and nicely decorated, the bed and linen was clean and the whole place smells nice. We went in on the 24th Dec and sleep over for 2 nights. We use the swimming pool and it was a wonderful 2 days. Definitely a... More

Ideally located, very comfortable and safe. Very good breakfasts were cooked to order and very substantial. Renee runs a home away from home and is ever ready to help with anything that crops up. Highly recommended.

We often stay here and have never been disappointed. Close to the university, Brooklyn Mall, Menlyn, hospitals and Loftus, it's delightfully central, which came in handy when we were trying to navigate an unknown city for hospital visits and university events. The service has always been excellent and the rooms are comfortable (and the breakfast never disappoints!). Would definitely recommend... More

Coming from north-west Botswana, I had to spend a night in Pretoria with my children for passport renewal. Bay tree lies centrally in the Pretoria embassy area, is secure, quite affordable and offers quality service. Excellent stay!

We have just returned from a swim meet in Pretoria and our team stayed with Renee and Fred at Bay Tree. We were treated like royalty and were made to feel right at home. As a sporting team we had our already reasonable rate discounted to a point where it was the best value for money ever. The guest house... More

We've been staying at the Baytree every year for the past three years (my wife has known the place and loved it for almost a decade). It is owned and run by Renee and Fred McCleary, who always make us feel at home -- almost as if we're part of their family. They go well beyond what we'd expect even... More
