I booked 2 weeks before a birthday celebration. On the day we were told there was no such reservation. We were seated even though they couldn't find the reservation because I remembered the name of the person who took my reservation information. We chose the buffet option as we had kids in our group. The quality, quantity and selection was... More

We recently stayed in the Farm Inn after a visit to Jo'burg. I visited with my wife and daughter and we stayed in the family room. The room was spacious but the decor was old. I also found it a struggle to get some available plugs for charging camera and phones. During our visit in July the room was a... More

I have had the pleasure of presenting at the Farm Inn on a number of occasions, Service is excellent, nothing is too much trouble, Friendly staff that are punctual and efficient. Food is great and they have a cozy little pub for a quick on one your way out.

I went to Farm Inn for a day outing with children. We went to the restaurant and we had a good waiter and the food was okay The staff at the farmyard, working in a child friendly environment, were very unwelcoming after shouting at the children. There were ground staff that were also disrespectful towards the older citizens. The overall... More

Dear Ingrid, I'm terribly sorry to hear that your day went so badly at the hotel. We would really like to deal with this unacceptable behavior from our staff, as we pride ourselves in being a family friendly hotel. Would it perhaps be possible to give me a call as I would just like clarify the issue with the grounds.... More

I recently spent three nights attending a convention at The Farm Inn. The staff were very welcomming and helpfull, the food rather akin to a boarding school, the game farm interesting but the least impressive was the accommodation. My innitial experience of the room was that it was large but dark. Then on attempting to open the patio door, the... More

Dear Tess, Thank you for the feedback, we are continually upgrading sets of rooms. Which is an ongoing process as we are a 30 year old family owned hotel. If possible could you perhaps remember the room number so that we can attend to the problems. Once again thank you for your feedback. Regards, Helena More

Stayed here for one night. Quick check in. Nice park area and serms line good conference facillities. The hotel have lion leopard and other animals. The ac in the room needs big improvement and so does the breakfast. But in general a nice hotel for a short stay

We came here for a wedding and truly loved our stay-our room was amazing-large, tastefully fitted out, spacious and clean with a huge bed (see photos). It was like a chalet with a thatched roof and opened up to an outside area which overlook grass land and the animals. We loved the grounds and the layout (plants and flowers everywhere),... More

I was only eating in this big resort/farm, and not sleeping so i cannot say anything about rooms and so on, the place is well manteined and quite elegant. I was not impressed by the food at all and i found it very greasy and was not acceptable by a place like this

The rooms are terrible , if you like 60s furniture and the smell from the gym of the old age home then pick room 46!! The last room in path. Not worth the money we spent per persons per night here. The only saving grace is the waffle that I ate for breakfast

On our recent trip to South Africa, my partner and I stopped here for a beer on our way back to our hotel. We were really impressed with the hotel, it was great fun to see the animals. When we saw the standard of the rooms we immediately wished that we were staying here - it was so much nicer... More
