I have stayed here a few times, now, and without exception, have found all the staff incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you. As a guide, I often pick up guests at OR Tambo arriving very late at night, but they will always keep the pub going well after closing time to accommodate the guests. The... More

I had to stay over for 2 nights during March. The reception area and lounge look good but the rooms definitely need attention. The dining area is outdated but the conference facilities was in good shape. I will only attend again if I need to but will sleep over elsewhere.

Reception, bar (closed at 7pm) and restaurantarea look quite chic but the room was quite worn down (fingernails on the desk, safebattery empty, hardly any warm water, smelly blankets, thin walls). It was not exactly clear if wifi was free, but I got a voucher for no costs at the reception and was able to send some emails with my... More

I only had to stay here for one night during an organised trip. If I had stayed here with a friend or by myself I would have checked out immediately. The room was disgusting! It stank, it was dirty, worn down, tiny, did I mention disgusting?! The bathroom was minging with the towelrack hanging on by 1 screw. Floor was... More

Good venue for training and conferencing. Good food (buffet), helpful and friendly staff. Conferencing room always immaculately clean and prepared for the next day. Safe, secure parking. Convenient for delegates to sleep over at the same venue. Not too expensive.

I was a little concerned when I first arrived at the hotel, as it looked a bit old and worn, but once I got settled it, I really liked it. Everything was immaculately clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the lady who cleaned my room was especially sweet and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is exceptional,... After my first night in the Arcadia, I would have told you that it was a reasonable place to stay. But after the second night, my opinion changed in a big way! The location is probably not great, but it was okay for me, as I was doing tours that offered door to door service. There are some shops and... More
